Nov 20, 2024This has shades of the iconic Red Rain Elseworlds, with some great horrific visuals and a less straightforward threat than its counterpart. Another strong issue for Batman in Black Label. Read Full Review

Nov 21, 2024Batman: Full Moon #2 is a strong second issue that focuses on setting up the story, rather than an action-packed throwdown which the cliffhanger teases. It remains to be seen how much teeth the larger story remains and where the fate of Bruce as a werewolf, his relationship with Zatanna, and the Werewolf's fate lie. Read Full Review

Nov 20, 2024Batman: Full Moon #2 delivers a dark and atmospheric dive into the supernatural with a fresh take on werewolf lore and stunningly moody art by Stevan Subic. While the issue excels in its trippy visuals, intense tension, and creative world-building, it stumbles slightly with redundant dialogue and a weak final panel. Despite its minor flaws, this installment keeps readers hooked with its unique mystical twist on Batman's battle against his own inner monster. Read Full Review

This issue was a masterclass in suspense building. The efforts of Zatanna, Langstrom, Constantine, and Alfred to cure Bruce via magic and science seems like it would be boring, but I found it thoroughly engaging. Barnes' writing was excellent throughout and perfectly set up a horrifyingly awesome ending. That page of werewolf Batman tearing out of the Batmobile was just... *chef's kiss*. Art was out of this world good. I enjoyed the first issue well enough, but I LOVED this one. Only qualm I have is that Bruce doesn't always act or talk exactly how I'd like (him calling Zatanna 'baby' seemed out of character), but for the most part it's not bad. Constantine and Alfred are particularly well written.

this is a great horror Batman book. Stevan Subic's art on this is a lot more interesting than his Riddler year one. The pacing and dialogue here does work for me.
