Sinister War #3 continues the supervillain free-for-all with Spider-Man trying his best to stay alive. The comic establishes a more weary Spidey who's barely hanging in there while trying to fight off multiple supervillain teams. The art looks great, the pacing is solid, most of the super villains get their own time to shine in one way or another. Sinister War lives up to what it promised so far, here's hoping it keeps it up. Seriously, this series just keeps getting better. One knock-down, drag-out, heck of a fight, but at it's heart, it still has hope and optimism like any Spider-Man adventure should. VERY highly recommended! Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

Sinister War #3 is a lot of noise just to get us to the same spot Spider-Man was in since the start of the second issue of this event. Nick Spencer has dropped the ball as hard as one can for what is supposed to be a big endgame event. The only thing to look forward to now is that Sinister War will end in the next issue and we can move far away from this event asap. Read Full Review

This issue goes by so fast. Seeing the Sinister Six and Savage Six fight Spider-Man was super cool. I liked the face turn with Boomerang's team. Sin-Eater returning with his own team of left over villains from Sins Rising/Last Remains created a nice cohesion. Glad to see that Morlun actually had a reason for being in this run and Spencer didn't just pull that out for shock. I gotta say the art is much more consistent here. There are still shifts, but all of the art looks really great. The pacing on this was very fast, it really feels like an all-out brawl.

I mean it's good. Action was cool to see. But what Kindred is actually wanna do? What's with DrS and Mephisto? What's with MJ and Kindred? All the questions are worrying me. I need answers. This would be recommended by me to all if he just nails the landing. Though there were multiple artist here but they were managed in a way that it doesn't hurt. It is like 90s Clone Saga to a extent but better. Questions are there but we have no answers. We need answers, Mr Spencer. ASM72,SW4, ASM73(aftermath),ASM74 all he had left. How will all the plot line be handled in just 3 issues.

Not bad. It would probably be better if Kindred played a smaller role. They should have let Amazing focus on him and let this mini focus more on Spidey and an army of supervillains out to kill him and claim the "Prize." Sinister War has been better than the last several stories of late, but we all know it's mostly just a prelude to the big showdown in #73-74. Spencer better not let us down on this one. I've read some spoilers but it's hard to say.

Much better this time around although I remain apprehensive of how certain threads will get resolved by Spencer but I'm still on the train. At least Bagley and company were on art duty for most of the issue. The art shifts later on but not as jarring as previous issues. I still wish one artist gets one issue....what a novel concept! Also whoever the artists (Carlos Gomez?) that did the Sin Eater pages was great and they need to do a whole issue by himself because that page by the dumpster was on point. The inks and colors were very well put together!

Honestly its anither issue where nothing plot wise happens but, I will say it was enjoyable. I actually felt some dread for Spidey it had some cool looking pages.

I've been a big fan of this series but feels it's fell off the track and has been way too rushed and overloaded with characters & plots that have really made the issues feel jarring/boring. With such a chaotic tone with nothing happening besides non-stop fighting each issue, it's a real disappointment if this series can't stick the landing and give us a good wrap up to the Kindred story with great character development.

Nothing happens. I'm serious, you could completely skip this issue and you wouldn't miss a single thing. The concept of villains fighting each other while trying to kill Spider-Man is funny, but that's it. And for the love of God, could Kindred stop babbling about sins and responsibilities and bullshit for at least ONE ISSUE? Thanks.

Nothing happens. A few villains get added to the mix but not in a plot progressive way. The first issue was good at setting this up. The second issue had mostly brawling but at least explained how, if only basically, Kindred got all these villains set on their course. More story could've been told but it was something. This issue just gives more fighting. And fighting that ignores Spidey was stabbed in the friggin back last issue and at least should web that up so he doesn't bleed out. It seems like there is so much to wrap up in so few issues. This issue could skipped and you wouldn't miss a thing. I'm okay with big fight issues but I do get bothered when the story isn't moved forward. No good character moments, the mephisto stuff not even more

The villain-on-villain game of Spidey keep-away continues interminably. New plot developments: A handful of the baddies are having second thoughts, keeping Spidey alive. And the Sin-Eater has risen from his grave, collecting yet another villain squad to menace Spider-Man. I see a slight uptick in the art here; Mark Bagley gets enough pages to set the tone and his collaborators do a decent job, for once, of trying to match him. I am past done with the keep-away angle and passive Spidey, but I'm cautiously optimistic about the new developments.
