Personally, I like the past two numbers, I think we will see an exciting outcome soon.
Task Force Z #10
The rise of Powers Industries! Red Hood and what remains of his Task Force Z squad are on the run and investigating the secrets of their former benefactor, Powers Industries. What they discover will change Batman history forever. Meanwhile, inside Powers Industries, Mr. Bloom and Man-Bat are hard at work betraying their teammates with no remorse.
Thor: Lightning and Lament #1
The Mighty Thor has abandoned Asgard in her greatest hour of need, leaving the Realm Eternal in the hands of his half brother Loki, in the absence of its rightful ruler, Odin. With Asgard under assault by legions of trolls, and the Lady Sif hovering near death due to a possibly fatal wound suffered in battle, can anyone save the Golden City from an...
Task Force Z #9
Are we the baddies? After the shocking (but not really) betrayal by Mr. Bloom, the new Task Force Z are public enemy number one. All of Gotham is hunting for them. They are out of money, out of friends, and out of Lazarus Resin. But now they will have to face their most dangerous foe yet-and it's one of their own!
Task Force Z #7
Solomon Grundy. Victor Zsasz. Madame Crow. Copperhead. No, these are not this year's nominees for sexiest maniac alive...they are the new recruits for Task Force Z! What does this mean for Red Hood and Bane? Will Mr. Bloom's Lazarus Resin heist spell certain doom for the Resurrection Twins? How many rhetorical questions can I possibly squeeze into ...
Task Force Z #8
All-new team! Same old problems! After losing everything, Task Force Z has finally discovered who their real enemy is. Jason and his team are on the run, underpowered, and outgunned. But everyone knew this was really just a Suicide Squad when they signed up, right? One way or another, they are going to finish this. Only one thing stands in their wa...
Detective Comics #1058
"The Tower crashes to a close! In the epic finale to this weekly tale of terror, alliances are forged amongst unlikely allies, and the Bat-Family reassess their strategy in their war on crime in Gotham City. Will Psycho-Pirate be Batman's newest eyes and ears on the streets? Can Koyuki Nakano ever recover from the traumatic events she witnessed? Ho...
It has been the best number of the whole series... for the moment.
Task Force Z #6
Secret-origin issue, baby! Task Force Z #5 was quite the disaster for Bane and Jason, huh? Let's give those two a minute to sort out their lives and travel back to the very beginnings of the team: where the black market Lazarus trade has just begun, and Two-Face makes a call that heywaitaminute this is going to inform the current story, isn't it?
I don't get caught up enough to take it, I get uncomfortable with how things are placed. But hey it's DC
DC vs. Vampires #5
The future of the world is at stake as a battle to the death ensues between Batman and Hal Jordan! Will the vampiric Green Lantern be too much for the Dark Knight? Will the future of humanity be in the hands of...Jayna, vampire slayer? The bloody, bestselling series continues!
At the moment they haven't dropped this story and in this particular issue it was quite nice to read.
Task Force Z #5
Heads? Everyone gets eaten by a zombie. Tails? Aw, who am I kidding...everyone's going to get eaten by a zombie. It's always a trick question when Two-Face is involved...and Harvey Dent's role in this whole zombie Suicide Squad thing (zombicide? Is this a Zombicide Zquad?) is a whole lot weirder than you think it is. Or maybe not, I don't know you....
In this issue, there is finally some congruence, Jason do something about the resentment has to Bane, thank you for that.
Task Force Z #3
There's no rest for the wicked! Especially if you're Floyd Lawton, a.k.a. Deadshot. He thought the mission that killed him would be his last, but now he's been recruited into Task Force Z. But Deadshot's never liked playing by anyone's rules...and Red Hood and his would-be team are going to learn that the hard way!
Not great, maybe a bit repetitive but fun to read, Rosenberg's hand is clearly visible here.
DC vs. Vampires #2
The war for the very survival of the human race has begun! A mysterious new vampire lord has already put a plan in motion to conquer the Earth, and the first step is-destroy the Justice League! But the World's Greatest Detective might be Earth's last hope, and it's time for the Bat-Family to hunt!
taking this as out of canon, well it's pretty decent, down a bit of Matt's trademark humor which I appreciate.
Task Force Z #2
After Task Force Z's first bloodbath-err, sorry, first mission-goes awry, Red Hood must rethink how to lead a team of unstable monsters against some of the most organized ranks of Lazarus resin dealers in the world. To manage this unruly bunch, Jason Todd is going to need a deputy in the field whom he can trust to be his eyes and ears...but on this...
Titans United #3
Raven, Red Hood, and Donna Troy are on the trail of coldhearted killer Lady Vic! How long before bullets start to fly? Meanwhile, Conner Kent has a close encounter with Tamaranean royalty. But with his powers lost, can he survive? And Beast Boy? All Beast Boy wants to do is enjoy his milkshake in peace!
Ugh hard to qualify, it has some good points, but then they are so clouded by the next forced inclusion, sorry I meant Batman. I just keep buying this so the character doesn't disappear, but so far there isn't much on the DC comics horizon worth pursuing.
Future State: Gotham #7
It's all-out war as the "Hunt the Batman" arc comes to its pulse-pounding conclusion! The Next Batman faces off against Nightwing and the entire Bat-Family while Jason Todd, now known as Peacekeeper Red, must stop Warmonger from driving every citizen in Gotham City to riot. Can Bat and Red win this one? Can they even survive?
This comic is taking solid steps, obviously, no matter how some fans of this place try to fool themselves, the criticisms or votes that can be made here will never really influence the readers, solid sales this comic is having. And it is not for less, great art and good history.
King Spawn #3
New fan-favorite creative team LEWIS & FERNANDEZ continue their dark trek into a world beginning to come undone at the seams. Enemies have begun to unite as the battle for the gates of Hell continues to escalate. And Kincaid is back, but what does he want, and what
role does he need Spawn to play in his creation of a new world?
The best number that DC has released this year.
Batman: The Long Halloween: Special #1
Twenty-five years ago, you thought you knew the whole story of Batman: The Long Halloween. Now, legendary creators Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale return to Gotham City to reveal that no secret remains buried forever! Join us for the return of the Batman Halloween specials and a mystery that could destroy Batman, Commissioner Gordon, Two-Face, and...well, t...
A fun delivery, not so exciting and I know it can be a disappointment since something related to a celebration of fear should not have the excess of humor of this number, much less after DCeased: Unkillables and Dead planet. I'll give this series a try.
Task Force Z #1
In life, they've terrorized the people of Gotham. Now, they are Gotham's last hope. Task Force X saw villains working their way to freedom. Task Force Z will see dead villains working for a new chance at life! On A-DAY, the attack on Arkham Asylum left hundreds of Gotham's most cunning and deranged criminals dead...now, a mysterious benefactor has...
This was terrible, this is not Slade Wilson, they just destroyed one of the most incredible characters in DC
Deathstroke Inc. #1
After suffering too many losses, Slade Wilson decides it's time for a change. When he's enlisted to work with an ages-old secret organization called T.R.U.S.T. who want to take down the heavy-hitter villains, he's all in. They'll supply him with an all-new team and resources for his new mission into the depths of the weirdest parts of the DCU, incl...
This time the main story was good, but I was completely disappointed with Red Hood.
Detective Comics #1043
Fear State grips Gotham City! When Mayor Nakano's city hall office finds itself under siege, the only hero who can help the embattled local official is the man Nakano pledged to rid from Gotham: Batman. The top vigilante in the city must protect the man who's fought so hard to put an end to masked heroes in an action-packed car chase that culminate...
Moon Knight #3
Miles Morales: Spider-Man 10th ANNIVERSARY Variant Cover by GREG LAND
An apostate priest, Moon Knight has taken on Khonshu's duty as his own. To the people he protects, this is a blessing. To Hunter's Moon, this is sacrilege. It is no small thing, to betray a god and take on his role. And when the Fist of Khonshu offers shelter to vampires, the...
