See this noon made me realize I'm a Batman fan and not really a dc fan. Because I have no fucking clue who the fuck that guy is lol and I own a lot of comic book. But basically no dc outside of Batman or justice league lol. So the reveal to me was a big "ummmmm ok who the fuck is that and why do I care"

AIPT - David Brooke
May 24, 2022It has taken seven chapters, but the big mystery is revealed in Robin #14 in a satisfying way. More importantly, the relationship between Damian and Batman continues to feel genuine while the all-out action is fun. "Shadow War" fundamentally understands comics are fun while building on the characters we know and love. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez
May 24, 2022FINAL THOUGHTSRobin #14 is as strong of a penultimate chapter as you can have for a big crossover event. This comic book is jammed packed with action that shows how intense things have gotten in Shadow War, all brought to life by Roger Cruz's energetic artwork. The story developments with two major surprises to conclude Robin #14 leaves me excited to find out how Joshua Williamson plans to end Shadow War. Read Full Review

COMICON - Scott Redmond
Jun 02, 2022The grips of Shadow War are just too much for Robin to overcome, as the series loses some of its normal energy and voice in service of helping conclude this big multi-series crossover event. It's still visually gorgeous and energetic but isn't reaching the same heights that have become the standard for this book. Read Full Review

Batman-News - Matina Newsom
May 25, 2022It's hard to recommend this issue when so much of it relies on the reader buying into emotional beats that carry little to no weight, and accepting events exactly as we're told they're happening. Those events that do hold significance feel drowned out under everything else that's happening. With just Shadow War: Omega left to wrap up this event, I am more than ready to see it over. ComicBook.com - Chase Magnett
May 25, 2022There's plenty of implied chaos, but the battle set up in Deathstroke Inc. #9 is largely maintained as background static so this issue can establish what is necessary for Shadow War: Omega next, but it's hard to imagine that issue seeming necessary to any but the most dedicated of DC Comics readers. Great issue. Surprise ending that I feel dumb for not figuring out

Overall a good issue. My main problem is that Batman really can't claim to be the world's greatest detective after failing to figure out who the fake Deathstoke was (readers figured it out several issues ago), but overall the fights and the pacing of this book were good.

The cover is just a bunch of characters fighting and has no plot relevance, however, it looks really cool though. 1.5/2 The art is really good, with Deathstroke, Damian, Ravager, Angel Breaker, and Ghost-Maker looking exceptionally good here. 2/2 The dialogue between Ghost-Maker and Batman, Ghost-Maker and Angel Breaker, as well as Damian and Ravager were all really good but Talia and Slade weren't very interesting and just felt flat to me. 1.5/2 The story was really good up until the big reveal which just felt forced and uneven. 1.5/2 The characters were mixed for every Slade, Talia, and Faux Slade, there were a few Ghost-Makers and Damians, which really made this issue somewhat worth my time. 1/2

If i had a coin for every time Slade died is this series I would have 2 coins. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice. This issue disappointed me. Slade vs Talia is a stupid fight, I'm sorry. Talia is a good fighter but she should not be a problem for Slade, she beating him is even more ridiculous. And the fact that this series is killing Slade again is just stupid. And Talia is unbearable here, going after Slade for something he didn't do, being responsible for the death of a kid and showing no remorse for it. I just can't root for this character. The reveal of who the fake Deathstroke is makes sense but is something I don't see the point. Pre-Flashpoint comics like Outsiders for instance had dealt with his rivalry with more

Lots of action in this one but overall the book gets to a revel that in some ways feels disjointed. And really like Deathstroke getting "killed". Yeah I'll believe that one. Lol. Entertaining book but I still feel could have been miles better.

Slade fought rather clumsily to be so easily outmatched by Talia. This guy is supposed to be DC's toughest mercenary. Maybe the loss of Respawn got to him. Either way this was an action packed issue with little else to offer. I'll be glad when this 3 star crossover is over.

okay, usually I can be more optimistic toward crossovers, an d while this crossover is still entertaining, there are a couple of issues. Like first off, how does Deathstroke lose to Talia Al Ghul? This is just PIS. Other than that, this kinda derailed my optimism for this event, and I'm just here for the ride.

The twist I saw coming since Batman #122. Motivations make sense for hating Talia and Slade with Judas Contract & Event Leviathan, though I would tell you to only read JC because the other one is indecipherable garbage. Nobody gives a shit about Angelbreaker, and I'm sure everyone is tired of death-bait when we've already seen him in the Dark Crisis promo material and covers. I miss Chris Priest. This makes me want to buy the omnibus.
