Loved it. I'm glad how Shift is now part of the Morales family.

Comics have to breathe sometimes and that's OK, although this could've been meatier. Storytelling and character development are also allowed to occur when punches aren't flying, and this was a golden opportunity to do something with characters growing as people or things happening in relationships. Instead, it's mostly fluff. I'll still take it over several other spider books at the moment.

Filler/transition issues are hard to rate. For what it was, it was great. But since it really just felt like a placeholder until a possible blood hunt tie in, it couldn't be much more.

Not my favorite issue, but I appreciated it for what it was. Ziglar can't really start a new story arc with Blood Hunt coming up in the next few issues, though you could also argue that this could have been used to set something up in those tie-ins. We got the pages with Hightail at the end, but there could have been more in that regard. Either way, this was a solid story, but nothing incredibly memorable. The writing felt a little off at times, but maybe that's just me.

It's fine to be honest. I do like Shift's chemistry with the rest of the Miles Morales family.

I'll give it a more favorable grade because of shift, but it's a very ordinary Miles comic. Has some heart, but not a lot to really hook you in.
