Fantastic art and amazing story thats finally leading up to the first tribulation event. I'm really digging Carol as the leader so far, and the current iteration of the Avengers makes me believe they can do anything.

Honestly with the way Carol is typically written I thought this series would be dead in the water. But then again it is written by MacKay who usually does a decent job. Honestly? I loved it. Avengers avenging montages, as they save lives based on Kang's info. Also Kang doing good things just to get revenge on another guy he hates more is so very Kang. Art is great. Very solid issue. First issue explained the team, this second issue really laid out the first arc. Well done foundation. Now we just need it to be carried out. Excellent work so far, and I hope it continues to improve.

This didn't pack the same punch as the first issue did, but I still really enjoyed it. As another user pointed out in their review, we don't get as much character work as we did in Issue 1. Instead, we get more superhero stuff, which is also good. MacKay has proven to be excellent at writing dialogue in his current Moon Knight run, and this is no exception to that. Carol and Kang's meeting in Null-Time was very well-done, and I liked the other members of the team were put to use throughout this issue by having their actions tied-in with said meeting in Null-Time. Sam's section of that was my favorite of the bunch. Overall, this series is two-for-two so far and I can't wait to see where this storyline with Kang goes.

I wasn't hook by the first issue. But I let a chance to this new ongoing because I want to love the avengers again. So how I fell about this second issue is in-between in a hand release and hope and in another some question. I really liked the story, with some kind of smart teaser, even if having Kang again bother me. In the bright side Black panther is less a Uber-bat, and make me smile with his competition concept, and I love Sam talking to the driver. As thor stopping the train. For the question : why iron man and viz for saving a plane when only viz would have been enough ? And how Sam a social worker can let the drug been throw like this ? He could have ask for it and destroy it himself. everyone can take the drug, and for me it's a more

Hoping the baddies get fleshed out in a way that doesnt make them throw away. Otherwise a fun issue. Avengers helping everyday people. Its been a while since Avengers have had a fun run like this.

Oh, dear. Seeing the same split-the-team quasi-anthology structure two issues in a row troubles me. It whiffs of decompression. And the art is surprisingly rough in comparison to #1. But I want to limit my negativity by stressing that if this is a step down, it's only from "great" to "very good." I'm still hugely optimistic about this volume. And the split-up isn't without its charms. Sam Wilson's scene is quietly amazing. A slower pace will be fine if it makes room for little moments of brilliance like that.

After a successful debut issue, Avengers #2 cuts back on character development but gives us a better grasp on the trials and tribulations our new team will face in the coming arc. The issue is written by Jed MacKay, with art by C.F. Villa, and hit shelves today. The issue picks up where the previous issue ended, with Captain Marvel returning from the null-time with a dying Kang in her arms. The rest of the issue takes readers in between two different timelines, one during the conversation in the null-time that we missed out on between Captain Marvel & Kang before she returned with his body and another during the present where we see individual Avengers stopping mass casualty events from happening.
