Aug 02, 2022Dark Crisis #3 is beautifully atmospheric. As the heroes are delivered punch after punch, Williamson is truly embracing the all-encompassing scale of an event comic. With the usual figureheads out of the picture, this is a beautiful portrayal of those left trying to pick up the pieces. The insecurity and nervousness is heartbreaking. The Justice League is dead, Young Justice missing and Superman/Jon Kent's attempts at a recruitment drive failing, but not all is lost. Aug 04, 2022I really enjoyed this. It still feels as though Williamson is slowly guiding us towards the big payoff, but he is doing it in a very entertaining way. You just feel that virtually everyone here, hero or villain, is being manipulated in some way by someone to do the things they are doing. Everything means something. Williamson is having a ball, having his characters chew scenery all over the place. Genuinely fun stuff. The art is as epic as it needs to be. Sampere uses a lot of panels on a typical page, but it never feels cluttered or hard to follow. Great layouts, lovely clean pencils, and just great visual design overall. Middle point of the story and the heroes are still licking their wounds. I do sometimes worry about continuity, given the amount of character who have their own books and stories; can Nightwing spend this much time away from Bldhaven? Issue #3 and this book is still amazing, for 25 pages this comic feels like 50 pages, a lot of plots at the same time and every single one of the is great

While this event hasn't been as good as AXE, there's still a ton of potential and I'm really liking the consistency. It moves st a brisk pace but still feels genuine. The characters all sound right. The artwork is gorgeous. The final splash of this bodes for some exciting things. I'm looking forward to the next issue.

First of all, after this years Comic Con and the announcements about this event my perspective about it has changed a lot. I already was somewhat negative about it due to the lack of original things happening in it, and now i think i know why. I think DC has a list of things they know how their readers feel about it and they are just checking each item(like the JSA making a aperrence, I love the group, specialty the character Wildcat, but at this point seeing them feels empty, due to the amount of storiea that used them showing up this way) However, so far this has been a competent event. I'm a little bit disappointed with how this used the cliffhanger from issue 2, I went in expecting action and I got a "mission briefing" type issue. And, more

I dont know what to think. It's better than the last issue, but it still has so many random and bad things. All the justice league stuff, man, it's half of the issue, and Williamson just tell things that doesn't matter. If he wants to take John, Yara and the new batman together, what's the point of three issues of a new justice league that's going to leave in a blink of an eye? Also, when that scene end, Williamson has to explain every little thing to us like we were dumb, and it's frustrating. It's not really bad, but there are things that feels wrong, and it's not worth for an event with this importance in DC. I'm dissapointed.

Sampere's art is killer, let me get this out of the way. This is not a crisis. Call it literally anything else. Nothing has happened, or at least everything that has happened up until this point should have been dealt with by the halfway point of issue 2. We are almost halfway through this event, and we apparently haven't even reached the real crisis yet. Let's all be honest here; it's not bad, it's just boring as hell. I came up with some better names for this event than Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths: -Justice League : Dark Invasion -Justice League : Final Darkness -Justice League : Darkness War -Justice League : Darkness Rises -Justice League : The Darkness Returns -Justice League : The Darkness Strikes Again -Justice League more

I don't know why but i still can't get invested in this. In terms of scale and consequences it feels more like the week's crossover than a full-blown crisis. And i personally don't care about pariah and the dark Army. And in all honesty i think that's what this crisis lacks, a good villain. In comparison to other crisis events like Infinite crisis or final crisis the villain of this one pales in comparison. Also the characters act weird. They act like they haven't faced any other crisis before. Especially the titans. They should be a lot tougher than This.
