For as messy as this mini's plot got at times, Heart of the Dragon #6 does an excellent job at slowing down the pace, allowing readers to catch their breath and sort things out. In fact, the events of this series could change the future of Danny Rand forever, should the story stick. Read Full Review

Iron Fist: Heart of the Dragon #6 is filled with good art, good action, some stiff dialog, and the biggest gotcha ending I've seen in a very log time. I don't know what Marvel was thinking. The score will reflect the technical merits of the book, and not whether or not I agree with the story (I did not.) Read Full Review

I am one of the view people in the world that actually enjoyed the Iron Fist TV series and with Marvel's propensity to manage to eke out every ounce of interest from its different media, I was a little surprised that this comes out now rather than then. Of course Okoye is also a major player currently, so mixing and matching sounds like a plan. The end is a kind of fraught and fighting book that can pack a punch, whether with a fist of iron or a spear of chi! Read Full Review

    Major Spoilers - Matthew Peterson

Though this is presented as an Iron Fist story, it's an ensemble cast focused on Okoye of the Dora Milaje, ending with Danny Rand losing his powers. Hama's character work is wonderful, but the plotting perplexes me. Read Full Review

Still a fan of the action and quirky characters but I'll admit this all leads to some division in opinion. Like where is Iron Fist going after this?

I enjoyed it to an extent but damn did they take it too far with the ending. Not sure where this is supposed to go.

I'm really having a tough time deciding how to score this one. This was a good series that I would reread everytime a new issue came out and everytime I read it I liked it a bit more. Having reread the first five the was really looking forward to how it would wrap up. Honestly I really enjoyed this issue I think I would give it a nine but then what happened to end the book I just don't really like. I always keep an open mind and really look for the good in things so I'm hoping in time this will prove to be the beginning of some wonderful stories and I will then see the beauty in the last few panels. However for the time being I'm left wondering why. That being said this was a very enjoyable series

A weird place to put the character, but I'm not too concerned. Also, Merlyn doesn't understand how comics work apparently. He thinks this is a sneak Okoye book? What an idiot.

Oh no, there might be editors' notes in the near future that say "Danny Rand no longer has the Iron Fist! See IF: Heart of the Dragon!" The damage done to Danny's character is bad enough; what's truly tragic is that notes like that might encourage more people to read this miniseries. I should really stop being surprised by this; Marvel loves to hide big status quo changes in terrible titles. cf. Betsy Braddock and Kwannon getting split in the execrable "Hunt for Wolverine: Mystery in Madripoor" series.

Sneaking an Okoye book in one called "Iron Fist" is just bait and disrespectful to Iron Fist fans.

It still personally blows my mind on how people will trash on DC Comics and complain about DC Comics sucking really badly and giving other DC Comic series 1 out of 10 because a character reads manga, yet they're silent about this. Modern Marvel Comics is TRASH as hell, and its objectively true. How is Danny Rand "not worthy" of the Iron Fist yet somehow okoye is? At least DC Comics doesnt treat its characters like trash the majority of the time. At least DC Comics listens to the fans and cares for them. In two years we have had Starlord turned bisexual because of Chris Pratt, Marvel compares Jordan Peterson to a Nazi for no reason, and now this. Jesus Christ, people are saying DC Comics needs better writers? Marvel Comics needs bette more
