Doom battles the combined might of an entire world to maintain his control: But can even he stand against the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four...and every other hero on Earth? It seems like all hope is lost: until a desperate gambit gives the heroes exactly what they need to win! But Doom has a desperate gambit of his own: one that, though it's never been attempted before, combines all his sorcery and science into a single brutal attack. It all leads to a shocking conclusion - with consequences that will reverberate throughout the entire Marvel Universe in this penultimate issue!

One World Under Doom #8is full of carefully laid plans, epic spectacle and dazzling art, but it hits hardest in the quiet moments between two key characters, and in that one unexpected, shockingly unbelievable final page reveal. Read Full Review

One World Under Doom #8 delivers all the spectacle and emotional weight expected from a penultimate chapter, combining jaw-dropping visuals with one of Doctor Doom's most personal confrontations yet. Ryan North brings the event full circle by centering the story on Valeria, Doom's greatest weakness and moral mirror, while R.B. Silva's blockbuster artwork makes every page feel cinematic, even when the chaos borders on sensory overload. With massive twists, inventive power combinations, and a finale that feels inevitable yet unpredictable, this issue perfectly sets the stage for Doom's reckoning. Read Full Review

One World Under Doom #8 is the penultimate issue but it delivers a hell of a punch. Marvel has kept it tight to their chest as to exactly what we can expect post this event and who is left standing and who isn't. The event as a whole has delivered in every way and this issue builds a crescendo that will pay off when the final issue drops. Read Full Review

Yes, we are beaten over the head with Valeria seeing Doom as her uncle and someone she can still talk to and stop. It is a very last-minute move. But to Ryan North credit he does a good job using this familial relationship to further push Doom to the point of no return. Read Full Review

For all its bombastic art and grand ambitions, One World Under Doom #8 achieves little beyond a spectacular visual rerun of events weve already seen. If the battle for Earth hinges on philosophical debates and endless do-overs, maybe Doom isnt the only one doomed to an eternal cycle. Readers might be, too. Skip the talk, savor the panels. Even flash freezes eventually melt, but this plot may never thaw out of repetition. Read Full Review

I feel weird saying it, but I liked it. It was highly entertaining to see Doom just handle business.
