Jul 05, 2021After a rocky few arcs Jason Aaron seems to be back on track. His handling of the Winter Guard here shows that hes more comfortable with the standard superhero fare as opposed than topics that are more of a cosmic nature. Long simmering plots come to a head in this issue, as the countdown to fifty commences. Hopefully this team will be able to keep up this momentum. Read Full Review

Jul 07, 2021Avengers #46 is a quick first part for World War She-Hulk as it shows just how the jade heroine and the Avengers get into this new crisis. The comic also has some payoff for a storyline set up issues ago with a specific character. It also pulls double duty in establishing the new additions to the Avengers team from Jason Aaron's recent Heroes Reborn event. Nothing exciting really happens yet as the Winter Guard finally make their move against the Avengers, and we see the beginnings of what's to come for She-Hulk. Read Full Review

Maybe I am just in a good mood this week but, this book was solid. I didnt get the sense of disdain for certain parts like I have with other issues in this run. I think I am excited to see what happens but, not getting my hopes up.

This felt a little awkward going in after Heroes Reborn. Plus the motivations feel like they happen out of nowhere for Gorilla-Man. I just hope Starbrand and Phoenix get more focus this time around.

Framed by flash-forwards that reveal the Red Widow's sinister plans, this issue shows how the Winter Guard snatched She-Hulk out of Avengers Mountain. It's a nice clean heist story. The pace is brisk, the art is outstanding. It succeeds through its simplicity. And yet, not for the first time in the volume, the key to making a good comic turns out to be keeping the Avengers out of the driver's seat.

You know what.... I might drop this and bendis justice league. This story has bland art and dialogue and she hulk turns into red hulk and gets captured by red guardian.
