The Dark Knight and the Man of Steel are on a mission to stop the godlike Auteur.io from destroying the pocket worlds he's created...but where on Earth did Auteur.io even come from? The answer starts not on Earth at all, but with an ancient cult of World Forger worshippers on a planet far away-and if our heroes are to have a prayer of stopping this mythic behemoth, they'll need to get to the bottom of his power source, and quick! It's a race against time as the parallel lives of entire worlds hang in the balance!

DC Comics News - Carl Bryan

It's hard to find a fresh take on the World's Finest, but this story arc has done just that. Here's hoping the comic is playing the long ball with this story line as it has the potential to be DC altering! Read Full Review

Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj

I think this works on all levels. If you don't see the meta-commentary, the story flows wonderfully. If you see it, it adds a nice depth to the proceedings. But the plot itself and these two new worlds we are discovering - it all just reads smooth and entertaining. Read Full Review

Reis and his team provide fans with distinct, stimulating illustrations that are so bold and refreshing. This style is so incredibly polished, smooth, and realistic. Honestly, whats not to love about this issue? Its brilliant, well-paced, and I simply wanted to read it again! I strongly recommend giving this issue of BATMAN/ SUPERMAN a shot. However, its not the best place to jump in. So, maybe you look at grabbing the trade instead? Nevertheless, Yang and Reis are doing some amazing things here. So, if you can get your hands on some back issues, Id totally chase them down! Let me know what you think, have a great week, and God Bless! Read Full Review

    COMICON - Tony Thornley

DC's best title continues to get better. It's a fantastic superhero narrative, but it's also an examination of the leads' history and mythology. This continues to be a must-read. Read Full Review

    Batman-News - Casper Rudolph

    May 25, 2021

This is still an incredible series. The quality of the art dips slightly because Lus' art just isn't as strong as Reis', particularly when it comes to his renditions of the characters themselves. But the action throughout is strong and the color work is great. There's a lot going on in this story, but it doesn't crumble under its own weight as Yang somehow manages to balance out everything. At the end of the day, this is just a super fun and unique adventure story. Recommended! Read Full Review

Batman/Superman #18 continues a delightful story that blends meta-narratives, classic superhero antics, and a sci-fi concept that bends reality in a new way. It's ridiculously fun and exciting to see so many takes on Superman and Batman in one place. Read Full Review

I want to like this story, but it all gets more and more convoluted with each issue.  It looks great, and I had fun with some of the moments, but overall, it was hard for me to enjoy.  Your mileage may vary, but I am already looking forward to the next arc. Read Full Review

Another entertaining installment to what has been the best Superman or Batman story this year. The wimpy Bruce was amusing comic relief. It's hard to tell what will happen next, but it looks interesting. I'm not usually a multiverse fan, so this has to be doing something right if I'm so pleased. It is always interesting to see a reference to Superman and Batman in times long past.Gene Luen Yang has done a story inspired by the Superman radio show, now one from the old serials. Maybe next he can make one based on the Fleischer cartoons.

While this feels mainly like a vehicle to play around in some alternate timelines based on the 40's Superman and Batman movie serials, the events of the present-day main DC Universe are still quite interesting too! Ivan Reis may be doing career best work here.

This might as well be satire on both sandbox games and with fan filmmaking. There's so much storytelling potential, that it's hard not to overlook the creative introductions like Bruce Wayne as a Bizarro Two-Face.

Still fun but I feel like the concept is wearing off a little. A lot of twists come out of nowhere which doesn't help the book. Reis' art is great, it really pays great homage to the early comics. I think one more issue of this would be enough, I'm getting a little bored by it.

I'm a big fan of Gene Luen Yang and think every human should read his perfect Superman Smashes the Klan and have also been enjoying his latest Shang Chi runs, but his start to this series has been a huge disappointment. The fantastic art and occasional funny lines just aren't enough to make up for what's feeling more and more over a jumbled story that's losing my interest more each issue. Hopefully once this arc is done the series picks up.

I don't know why DC writers view it necessary to go after the dead parents of costumed heroes. I am sure there is some type of mentality there. I just don't know what is and I honestly don't want to know what it is. Leave Martha Wayne alone already, for God's sake. I saw this during the twisted Dark Metal series too. It is really twisted stuff, and the type of cheap shock story, when you really don't have a plot or good writing. DC Comics continues to march into becoming the values of Horror Comics, and should reconsider branding as EC Comics, hosted by Crypt-Keeper, and let the readers know what DC Comics really are today. If not EC Comics, then be honest already about your brand as "DC Horror Comics." DC is working hard t more
