As a life-long GL fan, this installment hits on so many levels. Green Lantern #600 is a celebration of both Hal and Kyle, and I appreciated the dual approach that ensures there’s something for everyone. Beyond the incredible writers, I want to highlight the insanely talented team that contributed to this important endeavor. The artists just nailed each chapter of this story, perfectly capturing Hal and Kyle’s different styles and history. Read Full Review

It’s the big 600th legacy issue of Green Lantern, resetting the playing field and putting some Lanterns in new roles – and some in old ones. Three of the four stories in this issue are written by regular writer Jeremy Adams, and the fourth brings us the return of an old favorite. Read Full Review

Untapped Potential Green Lantern #33 (Legacy #600) is a fun issue that accomplishes the delicate balancing act of being an anniversary celebration, while also serving as a fresh jumping-on point, and does a great job at both. The story of Kyle Rayner starting his new life on Earth, with a new mission, feels like a classic Kyle story, and the glimpse at the new trouble Hal Jordan has found is intriguing. The commentary on A.I. and art is a little heavy-handed, but it's also not wrong, so I can forgive it. The origin tales are too short to be more Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez

Green Lantern #33 is a feat of character-driven storytelling that serves as both a perfect jumping-on point and a love letter to Kyle Rayner's enduring legacy. Jeremy Adams weaves a narrative that feels as comfortable as a favorite sweater while Xermánico and V Ken Marion deliver some of the most vibrant visuals in the current DC lineup. While the main plot takes a backseat to the historical reflection, and the heavy-handed anti-A.I. messaging gets a little too heavy, the emotional depth and artistic excellence more than justify the cover price. This issue earns a definitive spot on any curated monthly pull list. Read Full Review

At the end of the day, Green Lantern #33 (LGY #600) is exactly what a legacy issue should be. It respects the old guard, gives emotional substance to the icons, and hands Kyle Rayner a spotlight that actually means something. It celebrates Green Lantern history without getting trapped in it. That is the trick. That is the juice. That is how you make a milestone matter. Read Full Review

    Comic Watch - Theron Couch

Green Lantern #33 (Green Lantern #600) is a near perfect jumping on point. The issue does pick up two ongoing story threads very briefly, but it makes them relatively easy to understand. Meanwhile, it brings Kyle Rayner back for an extended period, kicks off that run with a fun and easy to get into story, and even provides his origin story. Adams and the assorted art teams absolutely nail the landing on this one. Read Full Review

A whole lot more fun than it has any right to be. Jeremy Adams gives Kyle Rayner his own sort of “rebirth”, instilling energy and sincerity as he reintroduces Kyle with a (slightly revamped) origin, coupled with manga-influenced art by V Ken Marion.

The main story of Kyle moving back to LA is very entertaining, down to the villain literally being AI art, which is an appropriate first villain for Kyle to take down. Xermánico’s art is great, as always.

If that wasn’t enough, Adams fits in an adventure with Hal Jordan, with art by classic writer/artist Dan Jurgens. Then, the final story has Kyle creators Marz and Banks reminding us why Kyle’s so important to GL history in the first place.

A worthy bunch of adventures more

this was a really good anniversary issue. I love the storoy for Kyle Rayner, and the art from Xermanico, Darryl Banks, and V Ken Marion. The coloring also works really well, this series still solidifies on why Green Lanterns are probably one of the most underrated heroes of all time
