Harvey Dent is dead. Or is he?
A gang of thieves thrusts Gotham City into a state of fear when they are mysteriously well-armed with military-grade weapons: flamethrowers, grenade launchers, and even tanks.
And this gang claims it is funded by none other than former district attorney Harvey Dent.
Balancing his two lives, Bruce Wayne must find the truth by tapping his growing network of agents, including Alfred Pennyworth, Jim Gordon, Waylon "Killer Croc" Jones, and the savvy new Catwoman.
Bruce is distracted by the seemingly impossible return of another figure believed dead: his grandfather Adrian Arkham. He mu more

The first two issues of this were essentially perfect Batman stories, reinventing the character for the modern day with some clever twists. This one feels more ambitious and less successful at the same time. It's still a strong read and one of the best Earth-One books, but it can't help that it's landing in an absolute golden age for Bat-stories. Read Full Review

    Flickering Myth - Ricky Church

All in all, though, Batman: Earth One Vol. 3 is a great story with strong and interesting characterizations for Batman and his fellow cast alongside gorgeous artwork. Anyone who has been a fan of the Batman: Earth One series should be very pleased with this third and potentially final volume. Read Full Review

With strengths and weaknesses that are about on par with the first two volumes, your appreciation of Batman: Earth One Volume Three will likely mirror your feelings of the earlier chapters. Personally, I thought it was fine, as I've made peace with aspects that I don't like, even if they still keep me at arms-length with this alternate take on Batman. It's visually stunning, with some great teasers toward the end, but lacks a strong story to keep all of its disparate ideas afloat. By spending too much time on a variety of subplots rather than sticking to one as the main narrative, the entire book feels like a collection of loosely connected scenes rather than a strong Batman story. It hints at greater things to come, but isn't great enough on its own. Read Full Review

Concluding with a rushed ending that does a lot while setting a potential fourth volume, the long-awaited return of Batman: Earth One is ultimately not worth the wait as it juggles too much and achieves so little. Read Full Review

This is the review for the entire trilogy.... and wow. This is like the Dark Knight Trilogy of comic books. It's great, consistent, has fantastic art, and great characterization for Batman. This is definitely one of the best issues/graphic novels to come out this year. Definitely read it if you have time, and dont mind the salty people who give this low scores.

Great book. Johns continues to show he's one of the very best writers in comics and the art is fantastic.

Excellent reinvention, a strong writing that makes me long for Batman when it was well written.

This was one hell of a ride. It's Great. I don't wanna say much else other than it's a fantastic mystery. The epilogue is a mess though.

Yeaaah....You can definetly see that Johns had 5 volumes planned, and rushed the hell out of the third. The last few pages are so hilariously terrible, seriously. Should've just focuesed on making a cohesive third chapter, not...whatever the hell that was. Sick Two-Face redesign, too bad it's wasted. Great Catwoman, terrible redesign. Great Croc, though. Heartwarming as fuck.

Bland and lifeless. Johns once again proving that he can't write Batman for shit. His dedicated fanboys might spam this with 10s and send death threats to anyone who disagrees, but bad writing is bad writing.

Geoff Johns should be banned from ever writing Batman. I'd give Gary Frank some points for his beautiful artwork, BUT his complicity in bringing this turd of a story to life earns him penalty points!
