Issue 1 for WOLVERINE Revenge had a shocking kick off, and issue 3 took me by surprise more than once. Wolvie is done. He has nothing but revenge to keep him going, so revenge he will continue to seek. This isn't berserker raged Wolverine, it's simply one that has nothing left to live for. If you're looking for a Logan story that's dark and filled with action, definitely add WOLVERINE Revenge to your pull list. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

    Oct 30, 2024

Wolverine: Revenge #3 delivered the most balanced storytelling of this entire mini-series. Jonathan Hickman and Greg Capullo found ways to inject heart into this revenge tour that Logan is on. Those touches of emotions created a greater sense of drama for what continued the violence Wolverine committed to in order to get revenge he promised himself to deliver. By the end we are left wondering how this story will conclude after the dust settles from what happened in this third chapter. Read Full Review

    AIPT - David Brooke

    Oct 30, 2024

Wolverine: Revenge #3 is about as basic as fight comics come. It reads like many comics from the '90s, as it's not interested in doing too much and honestly just gives Capullo enough pages to work with. If you're here for the art, you'll love it, but if you're here for anything outside of pretty pictures, maybe wait for the trade at the least. Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez

Wolverine: Revenge #3 confirms what we already suspected. This series is nothing more than a Hickman vanity project to smash action figures together without any thought or effort to explain why they're fighting. If you've ever been curious about who would win in a fight - Wolverine or Colossus - pick up this issue for the novelty factor, but don't expect a story worth the cover price. Read Full Review

I think that Hitchman's coldness, and scarceness as a writer as well as the feeling of apathy and desolation he brings serves the story really well here. It's a very Hickman-like comic, without the overly intellectual part, much more is given to the art and to the action here than a lot of times, which I think is also a reason for the strong vibe. This comics in it's emptiness made me think and also made me sad, but it made me think not about the concepts, but about the characters, about Wolverine and Colossus and Deadpool. Again this is pretty much a pointless journey for Logan, he sees no redemption not for himself, not for the others, he sees a lot of those characters as no threat, but it's almost like this does not matter to him, like t more

Another well written issue with awesome art. Extra points for getting some of the best written Deadpool since Remender's work. Its a shame when great characters like Deadpool or Harley Quinn become these parodies of themselves for poor writers to further make a joke out of the character so I always appreciate a good writer taking the character seriously (while still maintaining the fun of the character).

Mindless and not up to Hickman's usual standards. Still, I like bloody battles and wolverine is the best at what he does so just for that and the amazing art I'll rate this a bit higher than I think it really deserves. I'm all for brutal battles and gory deaths and nothing much else in the comic (I was a teen & collected in the early 90's after all) but this seems phoned in when you compare it to Hickman's other work. Just because it's mindless butchering doesn't mean it doesn't deserve the same attention & capability something like avengers vs aliens gets.
