It's difficult to imagine many artists besides Jacen Burrows executing this issue"one of the most harrowing and horror-soaked Punisher climaxes ever"as well as he does. Read Full Review

It will make you think, make you pump your fists, and at times make you recoil at the brutality the human race can sometimes inflict on ourselves. The language, violence, gore and subject matter aren't dialed up just for the sake of it. The beats are emotional and visceral. Read Full Review

A fantastic addition to the Punisher MAX series, Garth Ennis’ involvement always guaranteed it would be worth reading, but this is a real gem. A great conclusion to a fantastic series. It took a lot of Punisher tropes and turns them on their head. It’s also stand alone so a great introduction to the character for new readers. The art team have done a fantastic job here. Highly recommended. Read Full Review

Though more quiet and even introspective than was to be expected, Punisher: Soviet #6 is a haunting read that will stay with readers for awhile to come after finishing. Though this hasn't been an even miniseries, the creative team goes out strong for the finale! Read Full Review

Freakin' Ennis, man. He's been so good for so long that it can be easy to forget just what a truly great storyteller he is. Endings can be hard, but here Ennis absolutely nails it perfectly. Surprising yet satisfying, this story will stick with you probably longer than you'd like.

Ennis sticks the landing again with a great ending. The brutality at the end, how he dealt with the sons and how he tied all the loose ends up were done very well!

Prelude: I've been having a goddamn blast with Punisher: Soviet. Now that we're here at the final issue, let's see if Ennis can stick the landing. The Good: I love how brutal Punisher is here. Burrows art is amazing. Ennis really highlights the similarities in Frank and Val. The Bad: Nothing. Conclusion: A great ending for Punisher: Soviet. Simple, but done extremely well. I'd definitely recommend to anyone.

This made the the whole series worth it. While it was never bad at all some issues lost me due to them being less about the punisher. But this ending was brutal at times and also though provoking. A good read.

***Reviews the entire series*** Garth Ennis returns to Punisher and MAX Comics with a Soviet-Inspired mission with some classic Punisher Style violence. A Russian mob boss is deciding to go legit, but a former Soviet solider comes out of the woods to kill him for his actions he has done in his life. The Punisher investigates this conflict on behalf of the government, but what he unravels will return him to who Frank once was before he became the Punisher. Garth Ennis is doing what he does best, violence, gore, action, in 6 issues of classic Punisher. However, Ennis similar to Punisher: Platoon does a assessment on Frank's life in relation to this Soviet Solider's experiences, and a real world outlook on the life and corruption in the more
