Sep 02, 2017The final issue of the series tackles themes of individualism versus collectivism, marginalization, and the impact of war. While TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES DIMENSION X #5 doesn't quite go out with a bang, the stage is set for the Trial of Krang in TMNT #74. As a standalone series, DIMENSION X has been a great expansion of the TMNT universe. Read Full Review

Aug 31, 2017Writer Devin Grayson makes the most of that age-old struggle between duty to the many and individuality. Grayson also uses that conflict to shine a light on the Turtles and their family bond. I do wish this issue offered more finality to the ongoing feud between the Turtles and Hakk-R, but it's likely that the constraints of the main series prevented a more definitive conclusion. Aug 29, 2017Overall the TMNT Dimension X mini-series has been a success; we have gotten some great characters and interesting stories that will certainly fill in the gaps for the "Trial of Krang" story line. TMNT Dimension X #5 just happens to be not as good as the previous issues. It maybe that this is a weekly series and being the last issue the story line is a little played out. The characters introduced are not a great as the previous ones and the story is honestly just kind of boring. If you are heavily invested in IDW's TMNT Universe you are going to obviously want to pick this up and it is not all bad, but I would also say you could skip this and be totally fine. Now that all the witnesses have been found it is time to return to Neutrino for the Trial of Krang continuing in TMNT #74! Read Full Review

Flickering Myth - Chris Cooper
Sep 03, 2017This issue has thrown me for a loop. But I'll try to get it together to sum up the series. I think overall it's been decent; far better than April and Casey (shudders) but not at the level of The Foot Clan. Hakk-R is a great new villain and one I hope to see more of; I'd say he/she (I really don't know) is the strongest aspect of it overall, even if I'm not sure the writers have always known what's best to do with him/her. There's been a liveliness about it and it's had some fun, which isn't what I expected about a story of the Turtles gathering war crimes witnesses. Read Full Review

A classic ugly duckling-style tale, sort of.

a very fun issue, though i really do wish the art had been more developed.
not really much of an ending as this story is more of just a set up to future events in the ongoing IDW Tmnt series. -
