Now deep into the chaos, DC vs. Vampires: World War V #8 finally brings the big guns to the table, delivering a hellish spectacle led by a monstrous Darkseid and a crumbling world with few loyalties left. With stylish brutality and a creeping horror edge, it's a turning point that pays off for longtime readerseven if it took its sweet, snowy time getting here. Read Full Review

DC vs Vampires: World War V #8 has embraced what it is. Instead of trying to be something it's not, it has acknowledged what it truly is. And hey, I'm strapped in, but not everyone's ready for this level of commitment. I'm sure everything will end well. Read Full Review

It's okay, Mostly setup and action. The next issues seem to be where the meat of this arc will be.

I just have one question - Why is this book still going? Why didn't it end at 6? Is there really this much of a story to tell? I'm saying no. Darkseid is squeezing heads, and now we have the even more characters with the new gods - why? Don't know. I'm over it. I hate to drop it this close to the end, but I just don't care what happens any more. IT's overstayed its welcome. My Comic Review Channel - https://youtu.be/QU7hG3z-Ops

Ouch. Weakest issue so far for me. There's potentially something interesting to be done with two factions that despise each otehr being forced to team-up against a bigger enemy but right now, we still haven't seen it. It's got way too much event-itis going on with the story wanting to get as big as possible but losing the basic elements of what it is, something that has happened to other Elseworlds and I'm not particularily interested in the Apocokoliptians right now. We'll see how it goes though. If Wonder Woman just dies like that it was lame as hell though
