DCeased: Dead Planet turned out to be one of the best comics I've read in quite a while. The ending was so great I had to sit down and read the entire miniseries all over again because the ride was so good and so satisfying. Tom and Trevor have created a masterclass on a fantastic, entertaining, suspenseful miniseries! Get this ASAP! Read Full Review

Hairsine's artwork has this gritty, harshness to it that works beautifully with this story and the infected, Amazo army and Trigon look incredibly formidable. The inkwork from Gigi Baldassini and Stefano Gaudiano help to bring out all of the detail and Rain Beredo's colors blend the mix of blood, power effects and a depressed, bleak landscape to usher in a new era of hope and wonder. There's a few amazing scenes, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions about this world"both for what comes next, and for what came in the many gaps. It's one of DC's most popular alternate worlds in years, so I would be surprised if the story truly ended here. Read Full Review

DCeased: Dead Planet #7 wraps up what started as an out-of-continuity, (way-too-late) zombie cash grab and turns it into what is arguably the truest version of the DC Universe. Legacies. Overcoming impossible odds. The publisher sharted all the goodwill it had built up during DC Rebirth, but managed to fall ass-backwards into arguably it's truest version of itself, all by simply letting great creators create. Whatever comes next for Taylor and Hairsine, you can bet there will be a strong interest fromDCeasedreaders. Read Full Review

    Horror DNA - James Ferguson

DCeased: Dead Planet shows how you can have big super hero action with a strong, character-driven story all wrapped in a terrifying horror story. It has a somber ending with its share of sadness, but its tinged with hope. It's a fitting end for this story that began back in DCeased. Moreover, it shows how good can triumph over evil even if the odds are stacked so very high against them. Read Full Review

Taylor's got a lot of good stuff packed into this even if I think it needed a better epilogue and I really enjoyed Hairsine's visuals throughout as you got a good sense of all the characters as well as digging into their evolutions and how they'd fight as they grew and changed. Definitely a strong property overall with what came before and worth checking out. Read Full Review

Tom Taylor and Trevor Hairsine worked together to provide us with all the emotionally heavy ending that will satisfy fans of the DCeased franchise. There were plenty of great character moments that made the way things concluded in DCeased: Dead Planet #7 to come across as extremely rewarding. Fans of DC Comics should make sure to pick up DCeased: Dead Planet when its collection is released. Read Full Review

DCeased: Dead Planet #7 delivers a fitting conclusion to this chapter but also leaves so many questions out there and directions things could go from here. It does a great job of wrapping up its two major plotlines and does so without feeling like either is cut short. Those reading this series should be happy with the issue, it delivers just the right amount of heroism, which is something we need. Read Full Review

Dead Planet's ending was more emotionally satisfying than anything else.  Some of the setup was a tad unnecessary, but it's nice to get a win for the heroes (and anti-heroes) now and again.  The art was good, and I can recommend this series to anyone who has liked DCeased up to this point. Fantastic series. Tom Taylor once again shows his mastery of the DC Universe. The ending is somewhat underwhelming, because it isn't what you expect, but maybe he has other plans.

I loved this. Tom Taylor and is wacky antics has always been something I have loved, and with John Constantine as his lead, it made for an explosive, action-packed, wild, emotional story. I said I liked the first DCeased because it felt more contained as a zombie story, well this is going to many spots, but I argue it worked just as well if not better. Like Snyder, Taylor used every ounce of DC lore and material possible, he made it a very well focused and engaging story while being able to go crazy and bonkers. Art by Harisine once again is amazing. THere is definitely some plot left untouched by the end. But I think that is intentional, as I figure this DCeased storyline is a trilogy. And with the next story presuamble being about the more

Good issue with flawless art, but most definitely a rushed conclusion. It just ended so quickly, Taylor tried to fit way too much into 7 issues with both the Amazos and Trigon being threats. With undead Darkseid spreading the virus throughout the galaxy and Superman still absorbing the sun, I assume DCeased will be back with a threequel, which is a shame because imo it should've ended after the original series. Ultimately, Dead Planet is a solid continuation of Taylor's saga, but it is no where near as good as the original DCeased or Unkillables

The finale is not bad, but just like the rest parts of this story- too much meaningless and light death. This problem doesn't exist in the first DCeased. It seems that Tom Taylor finally finds that he wants to be the person who writes Injustice League, which is not a good thing.

Yay ! Constantine is finally the hero! Superman being a symbol of hope against an all powerfuk demon gave me goosebumps as such a scene is supposed to and the story ends with a kiss. This was the perfect light ending to a story mired in darkness. A great ending to a horror epic that could have done without the pencils on World's End. Please, no more sequels. This is good as is. - audiomack.com/cvrthebard
