They don't hold your hand and provide little details here and there to show us that there is more going on in this world than just what we see. I have questions that I hope will be answered as the story progresses: who is Mr. Abernathy, and why does he know Rogue Sun? What is Rogue Sun's power set? What are his weaknesses? Who are the supervillains who mask themselves and have gone toe to toe with Rogue Sun in the past? How will Dylan learn to control his new found powers? The prose works for me and whilst Im not gushing over the character of Dylan, I dont think were meant to; this despite all the reasonable excuses. Im just not sold on what new delights and places Rogue Sun can explore, and where this can, and will, go. That said, given all the good stuff going on, and the strength of talent in the team, I would certainly lean towards optimism. Read Full Review

Splendid! I really like the art work and the story. The opening and the **** of Rogue Sun was drawn badass and the colors .. wow! I'm excited to see new pages in the upcoming issues. I'm absolutely convinced I'll read all issues if the story and the art work continue like this.

This series is off to a great start! The premise is very intriguing, I am curious to see where it is going. The characters are complex, so there's a lot to unfold. And the art is just gorgeous! Can't wait to read more :)

This is a strong first issue. I dig the art and the premise is perty interest and gets moving quickly. Its interesting that they started this characters intro off in supermassive with the predecessor instead of this version. I wanna see what they do with the both of them.

It's a solid introduction to a character that I'm excited about. Unfortunately, this exact intro seems like it has been done 10 times before. I was hyped to get kind of a seedy, voodoo-inspired New Orleans but it absolutely lacked any accurate charm. Here's hoping for a Mardi Gras issue #2 or #3!
