May 19, 2015Wytches #6 may see the end of the first arc, with there being no clear sign when the second will start, but that doesn't mean we can't rejoice. Being gritty, chilling, and above all suspenseful, this conclusion is everything that us fans deserved, with the revelation as to how Sailor got pledged, and the resulting aftermath being gripping to say the least. So I pledge you to make the trip to your local comic book story and buy this series, as with such awesomeness in every issue, I'd be surprised if you left feeling disappointed. Pledged is pledged. Comic Bastards - Nick Philpott
May 20, 2015As much as I love Jock and Snyder, and I love the work they've done, I'd be intrigued to see someone else come to this universe, even if it's just for a sidestory miniseries (like Sean Murphy and Dustin Nguyen's minis for American Vampire). Team Wytches has created a broad canvas, and I enjoy the parts here in the middle, but I think I would enjoy the weird splotches on the outside just as much. Regardless, I'm excited to buy the trade next month and get scared all over again. Read Full Review

May 20, 2015It's hard to digest the ending of this first arc. This ending has definitely given the series a pretty big turning point. Twists in stories, especially horror stories, are common. Scott Snyder manages to pull one that punches you in the gut. Snyder, along with Jock on art and Hollingsworth on color, have taken us to a dark and creepy world. With a surprising and satisfying conclusion to the first arc, we can't help but wonder how we'll managed until the next arc begins. Be sure you have a happy place to go to after reading this book. Horror DNA - James Ferguson
May 23, 2015Wytches delivers very real terror. This is not a book with cheap jump scares or cannon fodder kills. It's scary in the truest sense of the word, shaking you right to your very core. It works on multiple levels, touching on the horrors of parenthood, family, and good old fashioned monsters. Plus, this is just the end of the first story arc. There's another one on the way. Pledged is pledged. Read Full Review

May 26, 2015Scott Snyder concludes his first story arc in a manner that was jaw dropping from beginning to end. Where the story goes from here is a complete mystery. This is the kind of comic book that has kept fans coming back for more and I don't see that changing as things move forward. Read Full Review

May 20, 2015This is a taut, suspenseful read with characters you can really care about. Great issue of a brilliant series so far and I eagerly await to see what Snyder and company do in the next chapter. Pledged is Pledged. Read Full Review

Geekality - Julius Freeman
May 20, 2015Scott Snyder is a force to be reckoned with in the horror genre; Jocks artwork never really clicked with me, but, for whatever reason, when he works with Snyder it clicks. They just go together like bees and pollen. Overall, Im impressed with this series and Snyders writing talents. I came in late in the game and yet his story still managed to hook me, and have me emotionally care for characters I knew nothing about. That takes mad skills. So, I pledge you, dear reader, to go into your comic book store, pick up this book if you havent already, and believe in the Scott Snyder hype. I do. And whatever Image books he decides to do next, Ill pick up. Read Full Review

Multiversity Comics - Matt Dodge
May 22, 2015The first arc of "Wytches" ends with an issue that combines supernatural horror with emotional devastation. Scott Snyder crafts a well-paced story that lulls the reader into a false sense of security only to rip it away from them. Jock and Matt Hollingsworth continually elevate the artistic stakes, and create images that effectively convey the story and character moments, while making the reader a little frightened to turn to the page. May 22, 2015Now that "Wytches" #6 has finished off the arc, all that waits for readers is what the creative team has planned next. Of course, there will be a collected edition at some point and readers will likely snatch that up, drag it back to their holes and devour the works of Snyder, Jock, Hollingsworth and Robins because "pledged is pledged." These creators pledged the readership a gripping horror story and they delivered. Now they just need to keep delivering, because the readers, like the Wytches, will keep devouring, just like this terrifyingly, disturbingly gripping adventure. Read Full Review

Amazing ending to this arc, the series could wrap up right here and I'd be happy, but somehow it is going to keep going. I can't imagine what is going to happen next but I can't wait to find out!
