It does justice to both Jones and the Armadillo, and it brings in some old friends for brief appearances. Gaydos and Hollingsworth make the comic as beautiful as ever. Jessica has been through a lot of shit and hides her emotions via snark and sometimes alcohol, but she also helps people in her own way and champions those who might be forgotten or even attacked by the more spangly and showy characters in the Marvel Universe. Apr 03, 2018Eventually Jessica tracks down the Armadillo whose self-loathing reminds the private-eye a little too much of her own. While it initially appears she doesn't get through to him (he does punch her through a wall), it turns out her words do hit the mark and lead him home. Case closed. With the story Bendis gives Jessica a perfect day for the character he introduced to the Marvel Universe more than 16 years ago. Worth a look. Read Full Review

"Jessica Jones" has come to an end, or at least Jessica Jones as we know here has, as Brian Michael Bendis is moving on to DC. This issue is not what I expected the conclusion to be, but it was wonderful and amazing, a fantastic one-shot that really epitomizes everything Jessica Jones is. Bendis smartly equates Jessica with the issue's not-really antagonist, and the way they mirror each other and learn from each other in their conversation is just great. Michael Gaydos absolutely just brought it here for the finale, and this one looks so good...his versions of Spider-Man and Ben Grimm left me dazed. This is a great end to a great run.

Not what I would have expected for Bendis' finale on the character of Jessica, but it was perfect nonetheless. The simplicity yet touching tone of this issue really made me sad to see Bendis leave to DC

Did you notice that every hero Mr. Bendis writes has fought the Armadillo in the past couple of years? Here's where his girlfriend hires Jessica to find out why. By itself, it's a decent one-shot. The ending's a little rushed. Why? Because this book makes space for extra helpings of quintessential Jessica Jones casework: a big client interview and then enthralling clue-gathering with a lot of different heroes. This is absolutely a victory lap for Mr. Bendis and Mr. Gaydos and Jessica and they absolutely deserve it and it's absolutely a blast to read.

I have said it before, and I have said it again. Brian Michael Bendis works best with street level superheroes. This and Alias shows why Brian Michael Bendis was one of Marvel's top writers.
