Apr 28, 2016Nick Spencer really needs to be given the reins of more Marvel events. Apr 27, 2016I swear I enjoyed this book, but it was so frustratingly close to being something special.I'm sorry, but I don't need Steve Rogers narrating how he thinks this battle is a story "we'll bore our grandkids with someday." I want to see it, I want to feel it. Read Full Review

Apr 27, 2016Avengers Standoff: Assault on Pleasant Hill Omega #1 has its eyes locked on the future of the Marvel Universe but in doing so, it loses its own plot. Though Nick Spencer took what could have been another run of the mill lead---up to a major event and did some interesting things with it and the characters featured therein, you can't help but feel disappointed at this finale, despite some real surprises. While rendered by two very talented artists that provide a stark contrast in styles for this last issue, Assault on Pleasant Hill Omega doesn't quite stick the landing. Read Full Review

May 06, 2016Overall:Avengers Standoff: Assault on Pleasant Hill Omega #1 was a lifeless read that never succeeds in engaging the reader's attention or interest. This bland and uncreative issue serves several editorially mandated stories and plot points and that is about it. There is no way in the world that this issue is worth you hard-earned money.
