OMG poor Natsu!!! Hi No Kuni isn't just the land of the Sun, it's the land of horror. Who'd knew from reading issue #1, this would be a horror-based series about the unraveling of a cult? I'm sorry I'm still processing what happened to Natsu. Damn that's definitely a villain origin if I'd ever read one. What's going to happen with her now? Also, who's that shadow in the end?

Things kick into high gear rather abruptly in this issue. The scrutiny on the Children of the Atom pushes the teens to their limits. Its a transitional issue but it does its job well. Some very great physiological horror stuff here, both thematically and visually. As usual this book isn't heavy of fight sequences, but if you're invested in these characters it is very engaging to read.

Interesting developments. I like what we got, although I do feel like the overarching story with the Children of the Atom is progressing a little slowly for my liking. I'm still enjoying it, though, and, as usual, I'm looking forward to what comes next with this title.
