And there you have it. I enjoyed this series and this ending more than expected. I still think it could've gone on a little longer and fleshed out the story a bit more post-twist, but at least it didn't overstay its welcome, which would've been the danger of it continuing on. This is a series that will probably stick with me for a while now that it's done; and as I've said, I will definitely have to go back and reread it to get a full grasp of the entire story, but for what it was, it was very good. As a critical piece of feedback, I thought the writing occasionally tried to be a little bit too smart and philosophical and it ended up being incoherent at times. It was like the writer was doing his best Jonathan Hickman impression, but someti
mes what came out was near impossible to understand. A little bit more straightforwardness in the narration and dialogue would've helped I think. I also would've liked this series to have been a bit longer so we could spend a little more time getting to know some of the side characters. We got a lot of Pollux, Carter, Bell, and Lima, but I wasn't really made to care about anyone else because they just weren't in it enough. Maybe a few issues here and there focusing on a single side character would've been helpful. In any case, I was very impressed with this series' ability to hold my interest despite how confusing it could be at times. I credit a lot of that to Nic Klein's incredible artwork, without which this series may have never caught my attention in the first place let alone held it. His art here was the best I've ever seen of his.
Overall, a satisfying ending to a confusing but highly intriguing series. Definitely recommend anyone to check it out if you're patient enough to appreciate it. more
