Being a compact story did this series wonder. It was strong from beginning to end. Offering all levels of fan-service and did justice to every character present. Totally worth a read! Who knows maybe one day they'll turn it into a DTV and I'll be in love all over again. Read Full Review

Writer James Tynion IV and artist Freddie Williams deliver an epic finale to the BATMAN/TMNT crossover event. Tynion does a phenomenal job at using the characters of two separate worlds to craft a team-up that fans will surely love. Meanwhile, Williams gives us action packed panels with all the butt kicking you'd expect from the Dark Knight and the TMNT. If there's any message that can be taken away from this comic, it's that no matter how different we seem to be from one another, as long as we share the same ideals, then there's nothing we can't do together. Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #6 caps off a wild ride that has been one of the most entertaining comic book series in 2016. This could have been (and I was damn sure it was going to be) a train wreck, but Tynion and Williams crafted a story that brought two properties together and played off their respective strengths, leading to a comic that was a whole lotta fun to read. Should there ever be a sequel (and there damn well should be), I'll be welcoming it with open arms. A solid ending to a solid series, there's hardly a page wasted here as the story comes to a close. The fights are great, the writing is moving, and the nostalgia is a boon instead of a crutch. If you love either property or, even better, both properties, this has been a surprisingly great journey. Let's just never say “CowaBatga” again. Read Full Review

While this event was great, it's a shame that the finale was the worst issue of the bunch.  After everything that Tynion set up, this issue felt rushed and forced.  I still liked it enough, I just didn't love it like the rest of the series.  However, Freddie Williams' art was as great as usual and it all combined to finish a crossover event that I didn't think I needed, but found out I so desperately wanted.  I hope this isn't the last time we see this awesome teamup. Overall I would probably give this series a very strong 4 out of 5 batarangs, with a few marks taken off for the above issues I mentioned for the final issue of the series. I highly commend both Tynion and Williams for the excellent job done and hope to see a sequel that brings Batman back together with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Read Full Review

It won't leave you giving a standing ovation, but it was satisfying in a way where you can't be disappointed with it as a whole. While the seams are showing a bit in this last issue, that's not to say that there hasn't been plenty of good bits to Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a fun series that at its best has nicely wedded the best parts of two iconic franchises. Ultimately, six issues doesn't necessarily feel like enough space to adequately condense the sprawling universes these two sets of characters inhabit, and it's a real credit to Tynion that he's done as well as he has " and to Williams, for making it look this good. I think a few extra pages would have helped facilitate how much stuff happens in this issue, I would have liked to see Casey contribute to the fight at the end too because defeating everyone ends up coming across as too easy due to the few pages dedicated to it, and the fact that most of the baddies are knocked out off panel. But even with the pages allotted, this was executed brilliantly. There's a tough, selfless decision made by the turtles, and a heartfelt moment at the end. Raph and Batman really get each other. This is a must read, simple as that.

everything building up to this issue all tied up nice and neat. . . . . . i still wish we had more pages dedicated to the Battle Royal (the fight felt really condensed) i would have loved to actually see Damian Wayne (Robin) take out that army of League of Assassins, or see Splinter vs. all the mutated inmates of Arkham and not just hear about it afterward! . . . . . the fight between Batman and Shredder was done in the most disappointing way!!! we see a big splash of Batman & Shredder facing off with little tiny panels of them fighting crammed in the background!!! NO FAIR! quit hiding the good stuff! . . . . . but it still was a fun issue. . . . . . every character is given their time to shine, even though a lot of significant events happ en behind the scenes. . . . . . all in all a fantastic issue! a lot of fun!!! . . . . . i don't want to give anything away about the ending, but i will say it was very satisfying, and very emotional!!! the parting moments between Batman and the Turtles was handled PERFECTLY! Raph bears his heart to Batman and it'll get you RIGHT in the feels!!! . . . . . there's also a moment between Batman and his son Damian and Alfred at the end that i just LOVED!!! . . . . art by Freddie Williams on this series has been amazing!!! . i will DEFINITELY also be picking this one up once it comes out in a collected edition! . . . . . for someone like me who has loved both Batman and Ninja Turtles comics for years, this has been an absolute DREAM come TRUE!!! . . . . . if you are a fan of either Batman or Ninja Turtles and haven't read this series yet, then you really owe it to yourself to check it out! . . . . . and if you are a fan of BOTH then you NEED to read this!!!! not even an option!!! more
