Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj
Feb 02, 2026So for being a crossover in a brawl-event like KO, this issue was more of a character focused story. We get the Prime/Robot thread, showing us what Superman should be like, but also peeking into what Superman thinks of Prime. And then those three panels of Garth and Imra. Wonderful. Read Full Review

Jan 28, 2026Joshua Williamson has done a lot of incredible work over at DC, but his crowning achievement might just be the redemption of Superboy Prime. Read Full Review

The Aspiring Kryptonian - David Beasley
Jan 29, 2026Even with 'Superman #34' being a tie-in to a crossover event, this story has plenty of stand alone moments that don't require reading said crossover. That being the case, it also heightens the DC K.O. event if you are reading it and both these truths are extremely hard to pull off. This creative team not only pulls it off, they pull it off well. Jan 28, 2026No Superman, Big Problems. Williamson puts an unlikely hero in the center of a chaotic circus. The art team delivers fantastic images in showing how Superman's legacy lives on no matter what. That final page left quite an exclamation point for fans to get excited about! Read Full Review

KPB Comics - Joseph Pines
Jan 29, 2026Superman #34 is about as good as it gets with tie-ins. While it's not going to be new-reader-friendly with too much going on at any given time, it still manages to stay focused on Superboy Prime and his emotional journey. This more singular focus is enough to elevate this story to more than just another addition to an already huge event. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Christian Laspada
Jan 28, 2026Superman #34 is a fantastic inclusion of this years biggest comic event! This is a crucial issue for big event readers as it brings the perfect mix of gripping action, shocking twists, and new beginnings. This is an all-star creative team, and it feels like they are not holding back their talents at all with this arc. Read Full Review

Jan 28, 2026While Superman #34 has an interesting train of thought concerning the Superman Robots, it quickly gets overwhelmed by DC K.O.'s storyline. Here's hoping the final issue of this tie-in can stick the landing. Read Full Review

Weird Science - Gabe Hernandez
Jan 28, 2026Superman #34 has the pieces of a solid comic scattered across its pages, but they don't form a coherent picture. The Superman robot is a genuinely fascinating character with real moral weight, and the writing knows it. What it doesn't know is how to balance that character against a tournament event, a crossover tie-in, and a conspiracy plot all happening at once. The art is clean and readable but uninspired when the issue demands visual punch. Most frustrating is the promised Superman versus Lex matchup getting abandoned entirely; if you're building toward that confrontation, you don't just skip over it. Read Full Review
