Trial of the Amazons: Wondergirl #2

Trial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl #2 is a standout issue of art and storytelling. It also has the honor of revealing one of the crucial plot resolutions for the Amazonian event. There's a lot to like in the issue and can be enjoyed out of context of the rest of the series as well. Jones' work in the penultimate chapter is very carefully thought-out and well-executed by everyone involved. It's not over yet, though. The story concludes in just a few weeks. It's difficult to imagine everything being tied up in a single issue. There's the big, final threat to be dealt with and, of course, the fate of Hippolyte's murderer. A rather lackluster ending to Yaras solo adventures, which is unfortunate because Jones & Melos artistry is really breathtaking here. Theres not a lot wrong to find with the book, other than its just boring. It didnt help that DC shot itself in the foot spoiling the murderer. Trial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl #2 solves the case of Hippolyta's murder.  While that is done well, there is still so much left on the table.  It seems unlikely that everything will wrap up nicely and neatly with one issue left.  Pray for a miracle because the creators are going to need it. FINAL THOUGHTSTrial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl #2 is a visually stunning comic book but does little in the way of building interest in the event. The way many characters are diminished, specifically Donna Troy, Philippus, and Yara Flor, is head scratching. Hopefully the final part of Trial of the Amazons is able to wrap up this event in a way to build hype for the future of the Wonder Woman franchise. Read Full Review

Expect a major reveal in Trial of the Amazons: Wonder Girl #2, but expect it to be told in a drawn-out way. Everyone loves the big reveal in a whodunnit, but there isn't enough here in the b-plot to entice readers. Instead, it's an issue that'll have you possibly flipping to the end to find out who the murderer is out of impatience. Read Full Review

I actually really enjoyed this issue a lot and it has great art and the way Cassie Sandmarks is showcased here really makes me happy that she gets much more love. Wish Donna Troy had more spotlight.

The artwork and layouts were absolutely phenomenal, didn't mind the story but the script could have been better
