Liefen and Keng have worked through whole issues weighted so heavily in one part of Aeros life or the other. Its nice to see an issue that spends a little bit of time in a few different corners of Aeros life. Aeros first big crossover comes to a close in an issue that conjures a tastefully shifted look at a traditional superhero story. Hero. Student. Professional. Its all so familiar and all so fresh and new at the same time. Read Full Review

Overall, Aero #12 is another stellar issue in one of Marvel's best recent ongoing series. With impressive art and a satisfying story that leaves you wanting more, it is definitely a book you should pick up. Read Full Review

Aside from the clever visual juxtapositions between Aero and Iron Man, it's worth appreciating how brief the armor-clad hero's cameo was so as not to steal the spotlight from Aero for long, though it would've been welcome to see someone else take over the mentor role for once instead of Iron Man. It was okay. The team-up was a bit simple. Huang was not menacing as blurbed. Villainy of Tiangong has yet to grab my attention. But overall it was okay.

Out with a whimper, not a bang. The storytelling was nice in this issue and I even felt that Aero got some good characterization -- but as throughout the series, pacing and plotting are fundamentally flawed. This isn't a Western superhero comic, and chopping it into 20-page chunks didn't fix that.

It was a pleasant surprise to see that this title (and Sword Master) is ending with issue 12. I don't understand the appeal here and I find this series to be incredibly bland. The issue ends on a tease that I honestly wouldn't mind never being fulfilled. It features a character I barely remember. The most satisfying thing about this issue is that it's the end.
