ComicBook.com - David Harth
Feb 18, 2026World’s Finest gave DC one of its best 2025 stories, and it easily has the highest pedigree in all of superhero comics right now. It’s a book that has been casually brilliant for years, to the extent that we’ve just sort expected it to be great. However, this new story, starring the Earth-3 versions of the World’s Finest Duo (or in this case, the World’s Foulest Duo, I guess) is the kind of shock to the system that makes this book work so well. Stories like this remind us just how good Mark Waid is at all of this, with To giving readers some gorgeous art that will known their socks off. Read Full Review

Feb 23, 2026I totally loved this issue. I have been reading Earth-3 stories for a long time. This felt both classic and fresh, the tightrope Waid has walked on this book since it came out. Read Full Review

Feb 18, 2026Batman Superman Worlds Finest #48 is a fun excursion into Earth-3, where not everything is happy and feel-good. The team has set the stage for the classic multiversal battle, and I cannot wait until next issue! Read Full Review

Geek Dad - Ray Goldfield
Feb 18, 2026This series has specialized in taking old-school concepts and doing something new with them, so this plot should be a perfect fit for Waid’s style. Read Full Review

Fanlight Zone - Ken M.
Feb 18, 2026The emergence of Ultraman and Owlman spells doom for the World’s Finest in an intriguing arc debut. Waid holds nothing back as the evil pair goes into business. To and Bonvillain provide a healthy balance of action and drama with the art. The series tells superhero stories like no one else. Time to buckle in and enjoy another classic ride. Read Full Review

AIPT - David Brooke
Feb 18, 2026Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #48 thrives on excess, giving Ultraman and Owlman room to be as vicious and calculating as possible while setting the stage for an explosive clash ahead. Mark Waid embraces the freedom of Earth 3 to deliver sharp twists and over-the-top villainy, elevated by Marcus To and Tamra Bonvillain’s dynamic visuals. It is dark, energetic, and wickedly fun from start to finish. Read Full Review

The Aspiring Kryptonian - Sam Rakestraw
Feb 18, 2026With the quest for the vague object of great power, storytelling won’t be Batman/Superman: World’s Finest #48’s strongest point. But, it’s a new exploration of Earth-3, set before the Crime Syndicate when Ultraman and Owlman weren’t the planet dominators we know them as. Read Full Review
