Zatanna #3 is perhaps the best issue yet. It is full of heart-pounding moments as Zatanna is at her most desperate and I am left wondering how she will make it out. The art is full of horror shots and astounding art and colors. I cannot tell you how badly you must be reading this! Read Full Review

It's been so long since Zatanna had a spotlight series in the main continuity, and this one not only does her justice, but expands her world so she starts to feel like she finally has her own ecosystem of allies and villains. Along with Mariko Tamaki's Black Label series, it's been a great year for the character. Read Full Review

Jamal Campbell delivers another fun, interesting, exciting and creative issue of Zatanna. It's not simply the magical aspects, but the mysterious quality of the Lady White as well as the inventive use of Bat-characters Bruce Wayne and Basil Karlo/ Clayface. Furthermore, Campbell taps into some real emotion and there's even a surprise with one of the supporting characters. There is still the feeling that there's something else going on beyond what we know. This is series is proving itself to be damn good. It's nice to see a character like Zatanna get quality treatment!

I honestly think this is Jamal Campbell's best work so far on a series. I like the coloring and how creative the art is. I also like Zatanna as well

Hard to put a rating on this one to be honest. The art is top notch. Love every panel. The story is still very confusing and honestly depending on the answers we get, this story is either going to be rather weak or really good. In this issue we mostly get more question but some answers. By far the splash page after Zatanna says that their is still more to take as she utterly wrecks clayface might be my favorite Zattana art of all time. Campbell drew her so very chilling as she said that. The splash page itself has no words yet is worth a thousand. I could stare at that forever. So all in all a rather confusing story that has some legs but really the art work is where it is at. The atmosphere and the story tell the art does a long more

The artwork is outstanding, but the story is simply a mismush of ideas strewn together. Blue Devil is being tortured and Zatanna is in a dreamworld with Bruce and Clayface. The imagery is great, but there's just no story here and no stakes. This needs to be fleshed out a lot more. Some artists and write, but most can't. This is the latter.
