Apr 01, 2026Venom #256 hits like a hammer, pushing Death Spiral into darker territory with a major death that will ripple across the cast. The issue balances relentless action with just enough emotional grounding to keep you invested, especially through Dylan’s perspective. While the mystery around Torment continues to tease without fully revealing its hand, the forward momentum and striking artwork make this one of the event’s strongest chapters yet. Read Full Review

Insignificant character death. Death Spiral continues to be a breath of fresh air for Spider-Man.
*spoilers* In all seriousness, it’s not that I hated him, it’s what he represented and “brought” to ASM on the prior run. If they bring him back and he makes up for what he did to ASM, I’ll forgive him.

I'm giving this book a 5.5 mostly because Paul dies, but as far as as Death Spiral goes... Things actually happen. what those things are ... well they are dumb. the series has a formula- Torment goes to family members who were rarely seen of Peter, Eddie and is killing them. between that... we get Spiderman and Venom talking while web swinging. thats been it. This last time has been a chase. then more talking. into yet another roof top or apartment brawl. Torment hits them with the now most powerful weapon ever -shockers gloves.. and leaves. that is the series for 6 issues. We get Torment getting the Carnage Symbiote but is there magically only a handful of them the MCU? Even BlackWidow had one for awhile. 6 issues of this sto more
