Saladin Ahmed continues to spin a pretty good story and the dialogue between Matt and Foggy when they have the meeting toward the end of the book is fantastic. It's helped by some great artwork specifically regarding Foggy's micro-expressions once he has heard Matt's story and is trying to process everything. The book ends on a fantastic cliffhanger in which Father Math will likely have a bit of explaining to do to one of the kids he looks after. Read Full Review

Excellent fight choreography carries the issue as Bullseye squares up to the Daredevils. Punishment awaits as fists, feet, and faces all meet. The Sins take a breather in this issue as we get a reunion that long-time fans will enjoy. The issue is enjoyable overall, but it does feel a bit like a filler issue with how long this story arc has been. It is still worth picking up, but it does keep the wait lingering as answers and confrontations await. Read Full Review

Daredevil #9 is a frustrating, unsatisfying issue. The Seven Deadly Sins storyline is on the back burner. Ahmed takes a few shortcuts to re-establish Matt's relationship with Foggy and make Kingpin a viable presence despite his activity with the X-Men. The whole series appears to be going nowhere fast when you consider all plots are on hold until the tie-ins with Blood Hunt finish, so the planning for this title is a mess. Read Full Review

Plot Daredevil and Elektra, the Daredevils confront Bullseye who leads them into a trap like a theater show, they defeat him and ask for Kingpin, since they both have clues that this terrible enemy is going to claim Hell's Kitchen again. Matt visits Nelson (Foggy) and explains everything about his return from hell, Foggy doesn't take it well, but his partner Cole helps Matt, and confirms that the Kingpin has something in his hands. The comic closes with one of the kids at the orphanage Matt runs discovering his Daredevil costume. This installment is responsible for continuing to nourish the atmosphere of mystery and highlights the relationship between Matt and Elektra, that eternal love that once again has an obstacle. I loved this issue! It addressed questions I had-it didn't answer them, but it addressed that my questions were valid-had a great fight, advanced the plot quite a bit, and had a genuinely surprising ending. My one complaint is the way a particular character is drawn. He doesn't really look the way he typically does, which was distracting, but he was written very well.

It was good up to a point. I know it addressed the weirdness of Kingpin's status and the questions around it, but this series hasn't given me enough to make me keep waiting on things I'm most interested. It did have some good action, some good art and a very intriguing ending.

The art is kind of a downgrade which brings the issue down, but the plot twist of someone knowing Daredevil's identity made up for it.

The art in this run is really a come-down from the last few teams. very pedestrian. my main quibble is: Hell's Kitchen is not that big - and DD has not exactly been hidden for all these months. so how the hell did foggy not know matt was alive?

Huge DD fan here but sadly it's not doing it for me. Everything feels a bit rushed and the stakes just a bit too low. This issue's reunion was quite anti-climactic as well. Hoping for a massive plot twist soon.

I just can't get behind this run. So many plot holes, nothing makes sense. Nobody remembers Matt from his past life? But Doctor strange who's not possessed does? But not Ben Urich who is possessed? Nobody recognizes the Ex mayor of NYC/lawyer for superheroes? Took 9 issues for Foggy and Matt to see each other again? Matt thinks nobody remembers him but Foggy and Cole do? What the hell is going on? Lol
