Holds up very well as our plot continues to go to further depths. The limited dialogue is such a great concept, especially in a title like this. Really enjoying this series.

Quite possibly one of the best first issues I've read all year. Do not miss this one.

Really solid start, but I can't get past the mischaracterization of Amanda Waller. Waid and Mora can do no wrong in my eyes.

Not very good. The tonal difference between this and the first issue of Absolute Power is night and day. This wouldn't be terrible if this weren't such a serious and gloomy event and this was a standalone story in the middle of some random DC title. But for what Williams is going for in this, it doesn't work. I'm glad this Task Force VII series is all a set of one-shot stories, so I'm hoping we're onto better things.

The start to the Warwold Saga is here, and it is really strong! I find The Authority written much better than Morrison's...atrocity. Looking forward to the next chapters to this event!

Still a really interesting story, but it sure is losing its traction.

Took a bit of a break from Action Comics, and am glad to return to the title with the Dawn of the DCU. This was a fantastic preview of what's to come.

Unfortunately, this book doesn't stick the landing whatsoever.

Great starting issue! Really like these ideas regarding Ben as a corporate Spidey, per se, and Peter trying to continue his life whilst being the one and only true Spider-Man.

Really enjoying this new direction being taken for Spider-Man. Though I am a bit worried that there are multiple writers on the title, let's just hope there isn't anything fatally downgrading coming up with the next issues.

This was a real trudge of an issue. I was easily bored within the first ten pages, though the final few pages did bring in some intrigue to what will come next. Hopefully the next issue is an improvement.

An improvement to last issue's slip-up, though not by much. I dearly hope this ends on a good note.

I find myself enjoying these tie-ins, despite not following the Dark Web event.

At least it reads quickly so we don't have to suffer through it for too long.

So in. This just seems like some whacky bunch of non-canonical fun that I'm absolutely ready to be a part of. Reads like a breeze, the art is fantastic, and the premise is so comic book-ey. Give me more.

So we're just going to turn this into an overly-wordy, nonsensical issue? Cool.

"Most want nothing more than to live even in a city that despises them." Now, this was phenomenal. Super interesting, psychologically driven, unsettling at times, I really loved this debut issue. I'm expecting great things going forward.

Another home run for Watters and Dani. Every issue I read of this story so far, I am just gushing over the storytelling. The psychological themes, dark aura, and Azrael this time! This really is something I never knew I wanted out of a DC book. I need more of this after the run ends.

Fine, but really lacking in that Burton-verse feeling. It's a real joy to see Sam Hamm back to write a Bat-book, but it doesn't automatically imply it's great. Without Tim Burton at Hamm's side, I don't think the title will succeed, and reality is showing that right now, sadly.

I really just don't care anymore.

When you strip a good amount of dialogue from each lengthy word bubble James writes, I think it's a bit more readable. Nonetheless, I can't wait for the suffering to be over.

The finale of Williamson's short run on the Batman title was a fun conclusion. But we're onto much better things with Zdarsky.

An incredible debut from the new creative team on the Batman title! I expected nothing less from it, and they truly delivered. Although the main plot for this issue was familiar, there were still fantastic moments throughout that kept my attention. Absolutely thrilled for this new era of Batman.

Alright. This was a shocking turn, but not in the way I wanted it to be. I still am eager to see what happens next, but there was a decision here that got me scratching my head.

Retrospectively, this is one of Zdarksy's more solid issues in his run. However, this was a filler issue with practically no implication or setup for future issues, barring the Absolute Power tie-in. Unfortunately, this was more of a miss than a hit for me. This felt like an issue I've read multiple times before.

Fun in its own right. I really enjoyed the Al Ghuls in this, their threatening aura toward the universe, and the stakes. I actually had a better time reading this than Grant Morrison's Superman and the Authority. Very surprising, indeed.

This is some of the best Batman Tom King has put out. This is truly incredible.

An incredibly run of the mill Two-Face tale, elevated by stunning artwork. That's all it is, and a disappointment it was.

Oh-so satirical and so much fun. The art continues to amaze, especially the panels of the creature, or as Batman calls it, "Junior." This fifth chapter started working to our complete payoff of the story and thus far, it's landing quite fantastically. Really looking forward to the conclusion of this one.

This book is underrated, man. Super enjoyable.

The first two stories are hits. The Aquaman story, as much as I wanted to like it for the art alone, I just found it super forgettable. The black-and-white story at the end was just...basic. It doesn't do anything exciting. It's just dull and predictable. The art in the black-and-white story is fantastic in most parts, but there were panels where I had to look back, unsure of what was happening.

This was an absolute treat. Finally, a writer who understands Batman on a more psychological level. This is exactly what I wanted and hoped for from this issue, and it delivered even more than just my expectations. The world-building, the art, the tone, the seamless P.O.V transitions, everything. Absolutely spot on.

Mattson Tomlin and Andrea Sorrentino knock it out of the park yet again with this issue. This may just be my favorite Bat-title this year. Do I dare need to say more?

Really solid! I absolutely adore how it feels very Batman Begins in this issue.

Definitely weaker than the previous issues, but I'm looking forward to how Chip will wrap this one up.

A great re-entry into the Long Halloween/Dark Victory/Haunted Knight universe. Thoroughly enjoyed the heavy focus on Julian Day and the subplot of Two-Face and Gilda (we all know her secret by now, though not necessarily touched upon in this) coming back together, and the underlying theme of two. The art is reminiscent of the similar art style of Sale's glory days on The Long Halloween, though I feel Sale has degraded quite a bit with this one-shot. Some panels really seemed off, while some were just as elegantly drawn as ever. The writing is still sharp, to the point, and draws us back to Loeb's classic Batman masterpieces. Overall, a really solid one-shot that sends the reader on a nostalgia trip, among most aspects.

Mostly fine. Pyg's and Azrael's stories were the highlight. Alyssa Wong just needs to stop writing boring things.

Dan Watters's story is the highlight here, everything else... I just don't care enough whatsoever.

Great art, but I got absolutely nothing from the writing end.
