The Justice League won't listen to him, his wife and kid want nothing to do with him...but Plastic Man doesn't need a single one of them to pull off his grand plan to cheat death. And it all starts with, uh...kidnapping the Metal Men. It's for a good cause! He swears!

The story continues to get darker, which for the most part works in favor of the issue, but it is odd and unsettling to see Eel in this frame of mind and seems a happy conclusion a far off thing. Read Full Review

Plastic Man No More! #1 set up the stakes, but Plastic Man No More! #2 showed off exactly why this concept has so much potential. With a consistently amazing quality of writing, artwork, and just about everything else, there is no reason not to pick up this book. It continues to excel at everything its creators dream of, and it will continue to thrill its readers. Read Full Review

While Black Label has been dominated by Batman so far, it's great to see it start to plumb which characters can have a very different type of story told about them. Read Full Review

Despite the gruesome premise and artwork, this comic is a ton of fun and is doing a lot with the DC Universe as a whole, while easily keeping the focus where it needs to be. The dueling art styles are a real selling point. Read Full Review

Man, I'm loving this. It's such an odd blend of funny and sad, but it works so well. Cantwell's writing is fantastic, and he manages to walk that tightrope of tones perfectly, balancing all the sadness, wisecracks, and heartfelt moments appropriately. The concept of this book feels very Tom King-esque in that we've got a somewhat secondary character in a story that deals with some really heavy themes, but the writing is obviously wildly different, in a good way (no disrespect to Tom King, whose work I love). The moment between Dick and Luke was really great and was a standout scene for me in this issue. I also really loved Bobo subtly letting Patrick know that he's there for him, adding to the weight of his comment in the first issue that h more

Another good issue. Funny stuff here from Cantwell that was nicely balanced with the more serious stuff once again. Lins & Edgar are both putting out good stuff here, also. Spoiler alert, but Woozy killing the Metal Men was a crazy ending, for sure. Just...wow.

I do struggle to rate this book. I think it might be an 8.5 but going to be conservative till I see how the full book plays out rating this issue. The issue itself has a lot of great points but some clear weaknesses. Lets start off with the cons first: 1) The way the justice league is written is still hard to grasp. It is clear from the art that this is from his perspective and how Plastic Man views things which are distorted to be overly perfect and cartoony. The league doesn't take his issue seriously enough as he literally sneezes out his guts onto the table then makes a joke and the JL laughs. However they also point out they are willing to put more resources into the mission as they view it as important. Their words and actions more

Man, this is dark. But part two is something of an improvement over part one. My main issue is how much of a loser Plas sees himself as.
