Oct 24, 2023This issue is worth checking out and I was excited to see a branch of the Themyscira universe participate in the conspiracy from the main Wonder Woman story. I am excited to see where the team goes and what situations Campbell has ready in future issues. Read Full Review

Oct 24, 2023I enjoyed this comic, mostly thanks to strong art by Georgiev and enjoyable scripting from Campbell, but it requires accepting that the DCU is a far crueler, more bigoted place than it's usually portrayed as. Read Full Review

Oct 25, 2023Amazons Attack #1 is a wonderful start to a new chapter in tale of Wonder Woman's storied people. It has some room to grow moving forward, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if readers look back on this entry as the start of a brilliant new era for Queen Nubia and the Amazons. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Nov 08, 2023It might start a little slow, but Campbell's story draws together several elements that should be fun as the story continues. The fundamental grounding of the current "Amazons Attack" story might feel a bit silly. Still, Campbell is building something interesting in what should be a fun adventure drama that should deliver an interesting new dynamic to the world of Wonder Woman and the rest of the Amazons if all goes well. This is charming and fast moving. I really like Mary Marvel as written by Josie Campbell, so honestly I hope that she is the main focus over the actual amazons. Sue me.

I really enjoyed the issue but did find some of the scenes like Yara being able to sneak into a top level Presidential meeting to be pushing it a little too far. The art was great too but there were some scenes that were a little confusing.

I was pleasantly surprised with this issue. Most of Wonder Woman/Amazon stuff is written so badly that it's hard to read. It was completely coincidental that all of them ended up together, but aside from that I thought it was pretty solid. We get to see Nubia deflect bullets and Mary Marvel (Stop calling her Shazam- she can't see her own name without changing) save everyone. I wish Queen Hipolyta was at least a consultant. It's very strange to just remove her completely. I'm interested in finding out more about this mind control gas. My Comic Review Channel - https://youtu.be/lEl3kh6mMoA
