All that said. I'm enjoying this series and looking forward to seeing what happens in the next issue with the foes that Matt is about to face are both human and supernatural. Read Full Review

Ahmed is playing a slow game with these first two Daredevil issues, leaving the plot on a slow burn while he concentrates on developing Matts character both as Daredevil and as a priest. Daredevil #2 is an outstanding example of how to use character development to further larger plots and themes. Read Full Review

It's an exciting time to be a Daredevil fan, largely because the character is on a new path of fatherly responsibilities of a priest but also a guardian. Paired with Kuder's great fight choreography and action you have the makings of another epic run to go down in history. Read Full Review

Daredevil #2 carries the momentum from Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder debut forward. Matt Murdock's new life combined with his return to being the Man Without Fear is given a lot of intriguing layers. It all gets you further invested in the bigger plans the creative have in store for their run. Read Full Review

Daredevil #2 lacks explosion, comes across very flat, and ultimately misses the mark this week. The potential that remained after issue one practically flatlined as readers get more inner monologuing than action this week. The story currently lacks depth, suspense, and any real diagnostic plot threads that appear to make this story pop. Read Full Review

Daredevil #2 gives the returning Daredevil two new challenges to tackle, but the challenges feel small and inconsequential compared to the prospect of a pending demon attack. Technically, the issue is solidly constructed, but the central theme just isn't that interesting or exciting. Read Full Review

Some great artwork and a really interesting story with some emotional depth in this issue. So far the writing has done a great job with the voicing of the characters and I get the impression that this will be a volume loaded with heartfelt and powerful storylines with nice pacing so I couldn't be more excited. It will be really hard to follow the last volume but what I like is while continuing where the last one left off this volume is doing its own thing and not trying to mimic the last. It's been a really strong start I can't wait for the next chapter

I'll start off by saying that Kuder's art is awesome here. The shot where Matt initially puts on his mask was just great. As for the story, it's, once again, well-written and really interesting. I particularly enjoy how Ahmed has written Matt thus far. I just really like the story that's been presented so far and, with the reveal on the last page, I predict that I'll continue to enjoy it. Hopefully I don't end up being wrong.

I think it was a really big missed opportunity to restore all of Matt's memories so quickly, and I hope we see how people who actually know Matt react to his resurrection soon. The last run was so eventful, I'm worried that all of that development is being thrown away. But those are just concerns about the big picture. If I'm to judge this issue on its own merits, I quite like it. I know Kuder's art has been divisive, but it really works for me. I also enjoy Matt's relationship with the St. Nick's kids, and Ahmed seems to have a good sense of Matt's voice. The action was really good, too. That being said, there wasn't much in the way of plot development, but I still enjoyed this issue.

It definitely has flaws. Like just the quickness and lack of impact Matt's resurrection has had. I do feel like the potential is still high. I like the art, I like the premise, it just needs to come with a little more weight.

Can't believe how good Aaron Kuder is at drawing DD, his compositions and splash pages are extraordinary. Strong second issue, loved how he dealt with the cops and comforted Danilo.

The prose is fine, and the art is gorgeous, but I'm not yet fully engaged with the plot or character development going on here. There's nothing wrong with it; it's a compelling Daredevil story, and Matt sounds like Matt. But I'm old and cynical. Maybe this quotidian build-up is leading to something great.

So after going to prison for killing someone, freeing super-villains from prison, being ordered by Spider-Man and others to hang up his billy club, and presumably going through a cleansing of the spirit, what has Daredevil learned? To put on the mask when he wasts to "hurt" somebody. So, nothing, basically. And now that his memory's back, no visit to Foggy? Anyway story was way too mainstream with pedestrian art. DD has lost its edgyness.
