Transformers #9 was a banger of a comic book. Daniel Warren Johnson, Jorge Corona, and Mike Spicer waste no time in delivering a battle between the Autobots and Decepticons that had a controlled chaos energy to it. Every issue of this series has been must-read and Transfomers #9 was no different. Read Full Review

Shuffling the deck with a new Decepticon lead has worked wonders for an already near perfect series. Johnson pressures the Autobots into struggling depths with creative writing. The art carries a large and loud sense of the non-stop action. Corona and the team construct a fast billing conflict that fans won't want to stop. There is no question on why this series is in such high demand. Read Full Review

Amidst the action there are plenty of cliffhangers that are left either ambiguous or rely on existing reader knowledge for full effect, but as an accelerating middle chapter, there's no doubt Transformers #9 succeeds in maintaining the series' epic momentum. Read Full Review

Transformers #9 ups the fear as the threat against Earth grows bigger. There's hints that what we've seen is nothing compared to what's to come and all of that feels like it'll brilliantly collide with the other series in the "Energon Universe." Read Full Review

This is the best issue of the series yet. Feels exactly like a G1 episode. Intense, emotional, and you can't look away while reading it. Its just brilliant

I am really bad at TRANSFORMERS names, I really am but I am trying with this series. Ratchet was a surprise and the general brutality still catches me off guard even 9 issues in. This has to be the best written on-going series this year (Ultimate Spider-man is giving everyone what they want but I say this is better written). DWJ is a national treasure when it comes to writing. Corona does an amazing job duplicating is rough style. I was so worried when they changed drawers but not anymore.

Daniel Warren Johnson's Transformers #9 is a heart-stopping, action-packed masterpiece that will leave you breathless! I literally felt tired after reading this! The issue delivers nearly non-stop excitement, with Johnson's script and Jorge Corona and Mike Spicer's visuals bringing the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons to life in glorious fashion. The issue's pacing is relentless, with barely a moment to catch your breath as the Autobots face off against the Decepticons after Shockwave and Soundwave open up a portal between Earth and Cybertron. Johnson's ability to maintain such a large cast of robots in disguise is stunning, with our usual suspects getting some awesome character moments and new characters on both sides being more

Another great issue. As I always say it's small wonder it's kicking both DC and Marvel's butts. I'm not sure I like this version of Elita-1 though. I also hope the turnout of this battle doesn't result in a resentment of Optimus Prime by Cliffjumper. That and I hope Ratchet makes it. Johnson gave us a pretty badass version of Shockwave, and while his take on Megatron's leadership have yet to be revealed, I do hope he doesn't turn out to be the same self absorbed holier than thou pain in the ass all previous publishers made him into. Astrotrain's new attitude is interesting. He came off as a loose cannon last issue, but here he seems to wish Spike nor the Earth any harm, but he seems to see it as a necessary evil in the greater scheme of th more

I have to start this off by saying that Shockwave hitting Optimus with a Tombstone Piledriver was my favorite part of this. As a whole, the action was really good here all around and Corona's art continues to hit right in. Poor Cliffjumper, though.
