I still think this series suffers a bit from its lack of any lead characters to connect with, but its incredibly brutal battle segments, detailed art, and thrilling tone make it unlike anything else on the stands. This almost feels more like a Black Label book at times. Read Full Review

And I really want this process to land with its full weight. Because it feels like we're trying to take a firmly old-school DC comic (over-the-top sci-fi with Swiss army knife powers and invading alien hordes) and trying to re-contextualize and/or update it for now. Read Full Review

Kneel Before Zod #3 delivers an issue-long fight that ends in a bitter victory. If all you want is to see two Kryptonians destroy an invading army, you're in luck. But if you want a series that gives you a reason to care about the main characters, look elsewhere. Read Full Review

Now this will be a game changer for the book. Zod is truly alone on this world now. He kicked his son off world. His wife is dead. He is already reeling psychologically. Terrible cover but I'm enjoying seeing this story. It feels more like Invincible then Superman the way Zod and Ursa go all out in the fight scenes which is pretty cool. Action packed and cool cartoonist style art work from Dan McDaid

I'm not a fan of the art in this book, but the battle scene is fun and though I don't think that making the sun red would affect them immediately, it was an interesting twist. Ursa's fate hangs in the balance. Is she dead? Don't know yet. Let's find out. It's also interesting that they don't care at all about their son's well-being. Let's see if that's ever brought up.
