A solid ending to a miniseries that I wish would've had more of an impact. It doesn't really have much of a purpose besides adding more commentary on a status quo that Tom King doesn't fully take advantage of in his Wonder Woman run. The commentary is good but you wonder if it's worth a six issue miniseries where things more or less end where they started, status quo wise.

This was a very disappointing ending to a decent story. I was hoping it wouldn't lean heavily into feminism, but my hopes fell on the universe's deaf ears. We start with revisionist history of female gods teaching men everything they know. "But man was furious that woman possessed such knowledge at all." An actual line from the issue. Wait, I just puked a little in my mouth. The villain gives her life in a flashback all to show how bad men are. Apparently, this book is doing the heavy lifting for Tom King's Wonder Woman book as that has taken a break to have Superman and WW search for Batman's birthday present, while this book pretty much wraps up the assassinations in the bar. Why would you read a Wonder Woman book and not expect that feminist messaging would be present?

So it's your opinion that there has never been a wonder, woman series that has been overly feminist? If that's the case, I completely disagree. There have been plenty of riders that I've written wonder woman as a hero rather than pressing the feminist agenda. And this is not only pressing it, but being completely over.

I think Wonder Woman is *inherently* feminist. Being upset about it when it's overt seems absurd to me.

Greg Rucka on what draws him to Wonder Woman: "I actually think what got me past the first hurdle was that I turned to the feminism inherent in the character. I said, 'She's a fundamentally political character.' This is one of the things that differentiates her enormously. Diana is created with a social and political agenda - not to sell books. She comes on the scene and she arrives saying, 'You're doing it wrong. You've living wrong. There is a better way to do this.'"

George Perez labeled himself as a feminist: "But they had to get the book published, or else they would lose the rights to Wonder Woman. I saw that, and at that point John Byrne was on Superman, Frank Miller had just done Dark Knight and was going to be doing Batman: Year One with David Mazzucchelli and I just, there was just part of me - the inner feminist in me - who was really bothered that she was just kind of being thrown out."
