The war between the Autobots and the Decepticons leaves Carly, Spike, and Beachcomber wondering how they can help their friends. Spike would fight if he could. Beachcomber wants to protect his paralyzed Human friend, and Carly can't forget her cruelty to Cliffjumper for not killing the Decepticon who murdered her father in Transformers #11. TRANSFORMERS #11 is another banger of an issue with cool characters, high stakes, epic visuals, surprisingly complex themes, and emotional depth. Daniel Warren Johnson is giving this series his all, and Jorge Corona's turn as the artist on the title is turning out to be an absolute win. Read Full Review

Comic Book Revolution - Kevin Lainez

The sense of immersion that Transformers #11 creates is off the charts. Daniel Warren Johnson and Jorge Corona continue to be on their own level with their work on Transformers. From all the emotional story beats to the design choices for the Autobots and Decepticons, the emotional investment continues to grow. Read Full Review

As time runs out for Optimus Prime, readers are left with a chapter of highs and lows. Johnson brings the deep wounds of conflict into the spotlight with the writing. Corona, Spicer and Wooten flood the pages with impressive visuals as all appears to be lost for the Autobots and Earth. This series continues to be the talk at the LCS for good reason. A solid and well-crafted entry that continues the story competently, but is otherwise just a stepping stone on the journey this arc is on. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

Its nice to see a bit more of the darkness than normally might have been present in the cartoon or the comics 40 years ago, but stories either need to be given a bit more time to play out or Johnson is going to need to work with a slightly smaller ensemble in order to really do justice to the potential for complexity that all of the characters have. And its not like the IP has been treated all that well in the past. Johnson and Coronas work is vastly preferable to the indecipherable, big budget visual, conceptual and aesthetic mess that was Michael Bays incompetent treatment of property. Its just NOT where it needs to be in order to live-up to the potential of the property. Read Full Review

Surprised this series wasn't a big hit at the Eisner awards.

This series manages to be an engaging read, keep these 40 year old characters feeling fresh and dynamic, harken back to nostalgiac appeal whisky being quite bold in its endeavors, and completely unpredictable down to the very last page. The art is great. The dialogue is on point. The story is easy to follow. Rhis is like reading a Saturday morning cartoon, in the best way. Its exactly what a comic book should be.

Damn that splash page at the end had me hearing the beginning of "the touch" in my head, then the next second... damn. Awesome comic, can't wait for the next issue.

This book is a regular reminder that good comics are still possible even in times like these where the world of P.C. corruption has even contaminated an industry you used to think was safe from such things. As long as the book is written with imagination and no personal views are implemented you can still make a book worth getting, and Transformers is proof. This issue certainly leaves off with a wild cliffhanger. It definitely leaves me in anticipation for the conclusion. I must say so far I find Elita-1 about as likable as IDW's version. Hopefully a little time on Earth can mellow her out some and she'll become a bit more reminiscent of the more kindly one I remember. Ultra Magnus on the other hand is still regarded as a great Autobot wa more

In this issue you can just feel the tension and anxiety on every page. Things are going to be intense next issue and that final page... oh man it looks bleak. Art is great as always. I wasnt sure about Corona at first but he has delivered in a big way and has never disappointed.
