Graphic Policy - Brett
Oct 07, 2020Black Widow #2 delivers the goods and tops the first issue in every way. That was the basic setup but this is the issue where the cards are on the table and we get a thrilling story of espionage and sleeper agents. There's also enough teased out to get readers really interested as to where it all goes, especially due to the ending which really emphasizes the "why" of it all. This is just a fantastic superhero comic without the flashy spandex. Read Full Review

Oct 07, 2020Elena Casagrande delivers some beautiful imagery throughout the issue. Theres a quiet beauty to Widows domestic life and Casagrande brings that across with great detail. The action is great as well and I love the panel progression as Nats fight happens with the backdrop of a spiders web. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Oct 07, 2020The danger resting around the edges of Natashas life rests beneath the mystery of what happened to the Black Widow. And though this may be a very familiar premise for a story, Natasha seems to be navigating her way through it in a novel way in a distinctly Marvel application of the spy-with-amnesia sub-genre of cloak-and-dagger intrigue. I think that series has pretty much everything, that a Black Widow's comics needs to be great, at least for now. The art is top-notch in every way it needs to be, the premise is amazing and fairly original and it seems like the story is very well put together. The mystery just keeps going deeper and deeper in very unexpected ways. It constantly really makes me wonder what exactly is the situation, she is in. I feel, that in this issue we got some clues, but at the same time we are shallowed by new and new reveals, that turn everything upside down. I hardly have any complains with that book tbh.

I think "exquisite" covers every aspect of the storytelling and content here. (And I am firmly in favor of Jeff the Landshark cameos, anywhere and everywhere.)

Great issue but the Alex Ross cover should have been the main one.

I love Nat but I would also read just a whole comic about Bucky and Clint crouched in the bushes and bickering tbh.
