The Vigil #5 finally gets around to providing answers about the team's origins and setting the stakes for Dr. Hep's plans. Unfortunately, the answers come too late in the run to build on them, and Ram V's dogmatic pursuit of a particular story concept leads to basic plotholes. Read Full Review

Well this was a great reveal/info dump/set up to the climax issue. It is clear this mini-series was never really meant to have a big bad, but instead this is going to be more of the 'true creation/destruction' of the team. The die of been cast, the characters have been developed, the enemy now made clear. There is only forward. My biggest issue with this series is that it is not a 12 issue maxie. Ram V is slow in how he does things, but these 6 issues have been full of great details and mystery that has slowly been solved ect. I also enjoy the twist at the end. Didn't see that one coming, but I look forward to why it was done. Still loving every moment of every page.
