It's definitely a good comic. The art is beautiful, and the words have a memorable elegance. The plot develops, and we're treated to further insight into Loki and his ever-troublesome relationships. Where it falls short of greatness, for me, is that the crucial actions (Loki confronting Ko-Mir in particular) don't happen in real time. Everything's relayed in past tense, after the fact. It makes this story feel less immediate. Of course, there's a silver lining to this narrative strategy: The final scene IS immediate. Maybe that's why I'm not troubled by the introduction of one of my least favorite villains for the big climax.
