I can't give this anything less than a 10. All these writers came back to perfectly represent all eras of GL, and the best GL had plenty of attention (Guy Gardner). RIP Denny O'Neil. You were a great Batman and GL/GA writer. You also brought us The Question.

A celebration of the versatility of Batman, from the darkest stories to the fun. This is basically Tom King's Batman Universe and a good aside to his run which features less traditional Batman.

Wow. Some of King's best work on Batman to date, I would put this just under Batman Annual #2. Lee Weeks' art was perfect for every scene, and the trunks are back!

A twisted father/son camping trip. It doesn't stand much ground on it's own as it is very light in story length, but as part of the arc it is very atmospheric and the reveal at the end was pretty crazy. I love that Thomas Wayne used his skills as a surgeon and also that he can't stop singing while being with his unconcious son. The art is some of Janin's best to date. Absolutely gorgeous issue.

"...I'm still here" Damn, that last line gave me chills. So we see the often criticized use of a folktale from an earlier issue used as double allegory for the events of the run, and more parallels to Bane, with the climbing out of the pit. There is something really satisfying about Batman breaking out of his funk of the past like 20 issues and denying that Bane or Thomas Wayne managed to break him. Is this the start of the redemption act? It is also interesting how rooftops were where Bruce feels most at home, but almost everything terrible that has happened to him was atop a rooftop, and now while deep inside a pit, basically the furthest thing possible from a rooftop... he finds his motivation and strength to fight back. This run better have a happy ending where Batman returns to the rooftops with Catwoman. The art was really nice again, especially Thomas' bright crimson symbol while descending into the pit.

This was amazing. I didn't expect the City of Bane to literally be a working city ruled by Bane. It was simultaneously striking, alien, and hilarious to see all the villains doing what they do in this issue. Also the way y'know who shows up again? Perfect.

That was a beautiful issue and actually really captures the loneliness, and dodging, of a relationship with hurt on both sides.

Even better than the last issue. I am sorry everyone who hates this run, this might be my new favourite run. I love the Batman and Catwoman relationship too much.

Heavy issue. I can't lie Alfred's message hit me in the feels. When he says he made a vow like Batman did, only to see Bruce smile again... and how he saw that for a brief moment before it was taken away. By the end I really wanted Batman to kick his father's ass so hard. I got some Solid vs Liquid Snake vibes from this upcoming showdown and I am all in.

I agree in many ways with Linkush, this isn't a real ending and I was flipflopping on if I was completely satisfied with it. Hopefully it will be all wrapped up completely in Batman/Catwoman (especially since Gotham Girl is supposed to marry Duke by the end of his run, and that doesn't happen here). However as a celebration of this run I couldn't be more happy. Allegories out the wazoo with the football game (in Porky's!)referencing Batman's struggle, a sort of cheeky message to readers saying those who have lost will understand, and Batman and Catwoman having that realization they don't need a traditional marriage... because since when did they decide that law rules what they do? Yeah, pretty much as good an ending I could hope for with 20 or some issues being cut. The one area I did feel let down with was the showdown with Thomas. There was practically no action packed showdown at all, but really that was never what this run was about anyway, so I will forgive it. Oh, and looking forward to Tynion IV's run.

I thought my enthusiasm for this book waned a bit over how long ago the last issue was... nope. One of the best books out right now.

If I could give a book an 11/10, I would give this a 14.

Incredible. Those 60 pages flew by and I still wanted more, that is rare to impossible.

Very odd for a Batman story, but also incredible. I loved everything about this book.

This was a very interesting look into what is going on in Batman's mind while trapped in the Dark Multiverse. It reminds of Snyder at his best in the days of the Court of Owls and how he can explore the more vulnerable parts of Bruce's psyche.

I'm with one of the other users. I think this is shaping up to be the Batman story of the decade.

Wow. This issue was a complete homerun. It is good the series wasn't all just shitting on Bruce, I was beginning to worry.

This book is incredible. All of the characters are well developed and interesting and given a full issue to themselves in this volume.

Everything about this book shows a team trying to achieve quality.

For as messy as the middle half of this main event was, I was expecting Snyder to miss the landing, and while this final issue didn't fix everything wrong with the middle half of the event, it did deliver an epic and satisfying conclusion. This really should have been a Crisis title, but I think the name they chose gives you the impression it is a smaller event. My main complaint would be that the New Age of Heroes weren't really tied into the event at all, I was expecting them to be.

Tom Taylor does not half-ass anything. Despite being a spin-off this was entirely worth reading because of the quality.

Classic arc in the making.

Clayface has always been my favourite Batman villain ever since I was a kid, so I loved this modern retelling of his origin and hope it creates new fans. The art and environments were phenomenal.

A love letter to fans of Dragon Ball and mechs.

This was brilliant at times, I felt like I was reading a Young Animal book with how much it just wants to have fun and is trippy and self referential.

So glad this series got extended.

As a cat person I still have to agree with the ending.

Only one more issue, wow.

What sets apart Doomsday Clock from other events recently is how confident it is in itself. It has high expectations to live up to, nerd expectations (looking at you friend whose name rhymes with Macy ;)), the highest of all expectations. For me it succeeds with flying colours. I predict a lot of purists will cry foul that Comedian was saved, but another group would complain if he weren't included at all. I was completely absorbed front to back. The art by Gary Frank really nails the darker aesthetic you would expect from the Watchmen meeting with the DCU and Geoff Johns is like the only writer I can think of who could do this justice. I think purists should get over Watchmen's legacy and appreciate the event for what it is. Watchmen will always be the fantastic graphic novel it is, that doesn't mean you shouldn't ever attempt to pull any risks or put it on a pedestal that can never be touched. Do you know how many ongoings have heroes with groundbreaking graphic novels? Pink Floyd didn't stop after Dark Side of the Moon. Why should Watchmen?

I was afraid we weren't going to learn more about Rorschach until the final few issues, with all the delays happening it somewhat gives the impression it didn't really progress the story, but collected this will be a really great part of the story to read and as always I loved the backup feature further fleshing out the world of Watchmen.

Filled to the brim with Johns' passion for these characters. There is just so much in this one issue.

Ahhhhh this was amazing as a Wally fan.

Grant Morrison shows he is well versed in Silver Age Green Lantern and as a fan who has been hoping for a return to that style, I am very pleased with this. Liam Sharp's art really surprised me, it perfectly fit Morrison's story.

I read it a second time and got context for some of the other characters and I am now upping it to a 10.

I can't believe some of the things Grant pulls from... it is extremely rewarding as a diehard GL fan who has read all these stories. I can't wait for Blackstars and the return of this book! I was starting to wonder if I still like Liam Sharp, but this issue won me over on his art once again.

An absolute dream come true for Silver Age GL fans, who are also Grant Morrison fans. Liam Sharp also deserves props for how incredible the art he is delivering on this title is, even if there was a slight error in panel 2.

Creative and a welcome change of formula for Green Lantern. This is already a modern classic.

I have read numerous entire runs of Green Lantern and they are my favourite comics in all of comics, so I do not say this lightly... this is one of my favourite issues ever in GL history.

Loved the Starlings dressed up for a funeral.

I think this deserves a 10 just for stand-out it is with its' roast, even as a big fan of Tom King's Batman. The story itself was good as always too.

I can't help but give this a 10. I have been waiting for ages to see the Darkstars return and this did not disappoint, they even made some interesting changes to the Darkstars that open up a lot of possibilities for stories in the future.

I thought this was excellent. I feel like he improved as a writer already and it is honestly surprising this is his first written book at DC. Also I know Stejpan is very in touch with the fan community so if he somehow sees this... hello o7

This is unbelievably solid. I can't believe X-men can be this good in 2019.

I really want to be more varied with my scores for this series, but this series keeps surpassing my expectations. I can't even predict what will happen in each arc and it is always something I didn't know I wanted. Like a twisted and grimey Little Mermaid love story.

Morbid, cynical, and great as always.

A hundred times yes. DC has squandered their JL book for too long since Rebirth began (Priest was better, but not perfect) it is so great to see a good Justice League book again, and the best way to start it was definitely with a new Legion of Doom.

This was incredible. So much lore and detail packed into one sci-fi epic and this felt like the culmination of everything Snyder has done the past 2 years.

Scott is killing it lately.

Okay, I'll admit I am a little hyped right now but this is like the ultimate DC fan title, it is so cool to see these characters that would never interact with each other before on the same team and this makes the DC Universe feel even larger and is probably the most excited I have been since after reading Rebirth's one-shot. The art is also amazing.

Better than the Bible.

This series feels too good to exist in a time that isn't 90s' Vertigo.

This book is exactly what I want from a modern Vertigo comic.

Possibly the best issue so far. Vertigo sure doesn't feel dead with books like this still going.

Okay, wow. I love Marv Wolfman's old work a lot and my expectations for this were not high at all after seeing his recent work on the second Raven series, but Marv Wolfman may have had good reason to push for this to be published for so long. This story perfectly captures the feeling you want while reading a Superman story and though his origin stories are a dime a dozen, this is a very unique period of time for the book to take place and very well done. I dreaded this but quickly changed my mind.

That Stan Lee and Jack Kirby homage tho'

Jack Kirby would be proud as others have said. This was fugging good, dude.

I already miss it. Does anyone know what the successor teased at the end is? :V If they mean spiritual successor I hope it isn't Martian Manhunter. They have called that "Martian Manhunter by way of Mister Miracle" but I have far less faith in Steve Orlando.

The tone and dialogue grab your attention and refuse to relinquish. Can we get an ongoing?

There is just too much to love about this issue from the lullaby, parent banter, the grim look of the battlefield vs the bright colours while raising the baby, and all the shirts Scott wears.

Seminal work. A complete deconstruction of the Mister Miracle that is great for people who have read every Mister Miracle volume and easily approachable for anyone else. Completely stands on it's own and if you like stories that dive a bit deeper into the human psyche, this story is for you.

In a podcast on Word Balloon, Mark Russel said he grew up reading a lot of MAD and it really shows here. I am an Athiest who grew up in a very Christian area, including my parents, so these jokes really hit home.

Consider this a review for the full series since the omnibus is not listed. This story is masterfully crafted and entirely open-ended without feeling limited by that choice. Every book in the series could likely stand on its own and be a pretty good read, but it is reading them all together that makes this an absolutely incredible story. This longform story of Seven Soldiers who can only be successful as a team without ever meeting, leaves many unsuspecting threads to other stories in the line and it all builds to a climax that makes use of it all (just be sure to be extra attentive, as I missed a very important detail myself). This is basically the bible of how to successfully crossover several titles into a grandiose epic. Not all stories are equal however, sorry Mister Miracle.

That was a trip. Interesting concept, and very funny read.

Off to a pretty great start. Funny enough even though Tom King is known for deconstruction of a character, this is the closest thing to silver age Adam Strange since his solo series in the 90s' changed his appearance and totally retcons his supporting cast's motives for the worse. The name of his daughter is wrong, it is supposed to be Aleea, but that can just as easily be blamed on the editor. Small con. It feels much different than I expected. It didn't wow me quite as much as Mister Miracle's first issue, but it is definitely a different feeling TK title. Love the art from both artists. Some fantastic visuals.

I am glad this isn't canon because of how certain characters are acting, not that Sardath has never had a heel turn before. This book is fantastic. The real star all along has been Mister Terrific. His giving Sardath the God Hand has cemented this issue as a classic.

This felt so grounded. Almost like a Nolan version of what Adam Strange could be. With every issue the story escalates further and you can just feel the tension with every appearance of Adam and Alanna as the investigation goes on in the background. Doc Shaner and Mitch Gerads both kill it as always. Throughout this series Alanna has felt very cold and scary, but given the past story and the 30 days of isolation and survivial, it really makes sense for her character to evolve in such a way. Definitely far from the sweet Alanna in the silver age days, but still a very gripping and deeper take on the character.

I am now realizing Tom Taylor is the perfect and only choice for this book since he isn't agfraid to kill characters.

The perfect ending to Tomasi's run on Superman and a real feel good issue.

I love this book. Adapting one of the most important Superman stories historically and with amazing Gurihiru art.

Somewhat surprisingly, Tom King really gets Superman. This was psychological and inspiring all at once. It is actually interesting to compare how Tom King's Batman deals with hopelessness vs his Superman.

All I want from my Superman stories are pure hope overcoming all obstacles, and both of these stories had that in droves. The second issue was very melancholy and hopeful simultaneously. Great stuff.

Superman in absolutes, much like Year One, but done much better.

This was fun and completely worthy of this run and the Sandman name. I will be sad when G. Willow Wilson takes over.

I will enjoy Si Spurrier while he is still on this incredible run.

Simon Spurrier closes out a near perfect run on The Dreaming and leaves everything back in the toy box for the next writer and man, I do not envy G. Willow Wilson for following Si's lead. I am happy this run ended before giving any chance to mess up and screw over Sandman's legacy. I am a bit worrisome for the next try at it. Be smart G. Willow Wilson, and only use characters you have the confidence to do justice. When people recommend Sandman from now on, this run will be a thought if the reader wants more. (BTW loved Dora)

Classic in the making.

Every panel of this first issue is burnt into my memory, ever since around 1997 when I first read it, there are few books like that for me. I am actually reviewing the original Image copies of The Maxx since I personally slightly dislike the colouring of IDW's run, but you could argue the more warm and soft colours of Maxximized work for the dreamy themes of the comic. It just comes at the cost of a sharper, more vibrant, and aggressive look that also works. The world of The Maxx is a real trip and is basically a big metaphor for escapism from your own problems, people who can relate to this will get the most out of it. I think The Maxx has gone overlooked for too long and is quite possibly my favourite comic book of all-time. Now, is the perfect time to revisit this cult classic since Maxx Returns was announced on the book's 25th anniversary.

This book is big and beautiful, really makes you appreciate the Black Label format. Denys Cowan's style looks tremendously different than it did in Denny O'Neil's run on the character and still so much different than his Deathstroke work, it is a bit sketchy but I dig it. Jeff Lemire has successfully returned Question to form while integrating aspects of Steve Ditko's Question.

This really could have been a Jonah Hex book, but I am not complaining. This has really made Question more of a mystical character, and that is a bit strange, but it also works. Loved it.

Very meta while remaining very true to Hellblazer's past.

A lot of fun to read and innovative storytelling.

One of the best reads you will have and the story that made me a fan of Tom King. (Ha he's ours now @ DC fans ;])

I didn't think annual #2 could be topped, and I am not sure it was but this was a heartwarming story about my favourite old man in comics.

It was really satisfying to see Batman go on a one-man army run through Arkham after all the depressing stories lately. Y'know, even if it was all a bunch of villains taking the fall.... Fall and Fallen. I get it.

This is a really cool Azrael and Gotham history. The art and colour choices are fantastic.

Gorgeous, wonderful, stupendous, RIPendous.

Goodbye to one of my favourite modern runs. 50 whole issues all by the same writer, that is so rare in 2019.

Possibly the best single issue of Detective Comics since Tynion IV.

A good cure to dry eyes.

This potentially fixes everything wrong with the DC Universe since New 52 if they stick with it. Canon as it is now is questionable how it will lead here, but it sounds like it *will* happen. Also that surprise crossover... kind of blew my mind.

This story is hitting all the right beats, except for the nasty art. Luckily the artist seemed to put all his effort into the most important panel.

Wow, this is so much better than I expected and I was already expecting good things. Vendetti is killing it lately.

This is the arc I have been waiting for since the series started.

Man, this is like a Green Lantern fan's heaven right now. The Darkstars have actually been made cool, they always had such huge potential and Vendetti has donr it. He clearly has respect for the pre-Johns era GL and that makes me very happy.

This is the kind of Harley story we need. My only complaint is that Stejpan uses overused phrases a little too much (eg. Path to Hell is paved with good intentions, recycling door, and the definition of insanity). The art was beautiful and Harley is really well written.

I hate new Harley as much as the next guy, but this issue really worked. Sam Humphries is a good writer with a bad character and this issue showed him playing to the strengths she has.

As a musician myself I loved all of the song references a lot. My favourite issue so far.

Too many good character moments to count. I miss Injustice 2 already.

It is an injustice how this is possibly the best DC ongoing and nobody reads it (in my friend circle).

It is like Hellblazer never left us. Fantastic.

Evil in the DC universe actually started when Krona tried to peer at the dawn of creation with his telescope, but that is forgivable. Dang this series is good.

Very tense and engaging the entire way through. Solid sci-fi story and an interesting format.

This was absolutely jam packed considering it is a 3 panel story with two stories unfolding at once. The last few issues it felt like whether something was up or not, was up in the air, however this one suddenly got dirty feeling. The art really captures feigned smiles and disappointment in oneself. As a fan of Adam Strange and his secondary cast of characters, and having to read Sardath's turn from lovable elder to messed up survivalist... I hope Alanna is only just making it look worse for herself. I am pretty sick of political comics, and this is definitely one, but it is actually relevant and comes off as realistic. There really is an alternative media station that loves to soil the water by bringing up much smaller things as a counterpoint to support their own, and rally its viewers together for conspiracies. They also got Aleea's name right. Giving me hope they go back and fix issue 1's typo in the trade.

Watch the movie first since this is a direct sequel, but I am pretty confident you will enjoy this.

This most fun I have had with any comic all year, and I hate fun!

Unsettling in a good way.

The most Rebirth feeling book from DC right now and Super Sons is still going on the side.

So much variety and different talents in this one. Tom King's story obviously stands out and it is good to hear more from that plot line. It was a really touching story. Paul Dini, Mindy Newell, and Ed Brubaker also had some solid stories. Man, Kelley Jones' Catwoman looks horrendous, but his Clayface more than makes up for it. One thing I realized while reading this is how awful some of Catwoman's art has looked in the past, even if it now stands as classic. Even Darwyn Cooke... that has to be my least favourite Darwyn Cooke piece ever.

Brian Azzarello's Joker story was worth it alone. The meta commentary was so well done and it is some of his best work in a long time. I also dug Punchline a lot more than I expected.

Pretty solid celebration of one of my favourite heroes since being a small kid. The standout story to me was Marv Wolfman. I knew he still had it in him! There was a pretty good variety and I like how each Robin had their limelight. Also dug Tom King, Tomasi, Tynion IV, Amy Wolfram, Chuck Dixon (I legit thought he was blacklisted), and Judd Winick.

It was very pretty. Worth the wait.

The parts with Eddie are great. I don't like the sections at the back of the book, they are practically slightly modified Arkham Asylum tape rip-offs and make the characters seem very out of character in the pursuit of sounding creepy. It works when it is Zsasz, but idk about Eddie *shrug*

Happy bday big blue. Every story here was good to great and the tease of the future just makes it an even more complete package.

This was very well-developed, the art was very high quality. Feels like it is written with the pacing of an eventual movie. Pretty great overall.

I have felt pretty lukewarm on most of this AoS. Put Jonah Hex in there, even as a robot, and you have my attention.

This felt almost lifted from Killer Croc's story in Batman The Animated Series, but it was pretty well executed. I felt bad for the Gorilla-Man.

The art and style were top-notch and I love Brian K. Vaughan from previously reading Private Eye. Really good issue. I am just wondering if you could speak Spanish and not English, if you could get an entirely different viewpoint by reading the Spanish sections? That would be brilliant since both characters end up with the same fate. I don't speak Spanish sadly so I can't confirm. (This review was 3 years late because Image offered it as their FCBD 2018.)

Really love the art here and the underlying mystery. The head has some dark commentary and it creates good chemistry with the main character.

This one has a ton of plot and twists. I was pretty gripped the entire read.

This was a great read start to finish. It is a basketful ahead the other Hillhouse comics.

Quite a welcome jump in tone, from overly optimistic and hopeful to dark and moody. I read an interview from Mairghread saying she wanted to capture the darker likes of Gail Simons's Batgirl and I believe she has succeeded tremendously with both this and to a only barely lesser extent #26.

Man I missed this goofy JLI-like Booster so much! He was so much more entertaining than his recent appearance in Action Comics. I was so confused by a lot of what was going on but slowly put together the big picture. My only complaint would be that I can't imagine Dick Grayson ever becoming what he was in this issue.

Joker kind of carries the whole issue and acts like a total maniac. I am okay with this.

Catwoman's Killing Joke, basically.

Refreshing, like a cold glass of water after a night of dehydration.

Fantastic. I had this spoiled for me incorrectly like 3 months in advance, the way it was executed was so much more sobering than I was expecting. I also liked the reference to his critics, I am sure that will make them happy. It was such a profoundly repetitive and pretentious moment, I must say.

Loved the tone in this one, and it is nice to see some of the ties coming together.

Okay, real talk. I really loved this. The art was incredible and stories that have James Gordon and the GCPD turning on Batman are some of my faves... there are also multiple threads being tackled all at once.

I was so confused up until the end, wow that callback. At first I thought it was going to be one of the many alternate universe Batman, maybe even the one we saw at the end of #60, but it seems we have taken a detour.

I didn't think of the rooftops connection before, I really loved the art and trippiness of this. Intrigued to find out just what the hell is going on.

There may have been like no dialogue or progression, but that doesn't make it bad, story telling can be done visually and what a beautiful issue this is.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS There were a lot of hints throughout the nightmares that Batman and Catwoman's love was false and this reveal has once again thrown this run over on it's head. Although it makes me slightly uncomfortable to see Batman tearing up because he realized he was in denial about false love, it is still a very human and relatable thing and makes it a pretty heavy plot point.

We learned so little to anyone who was actually paying attention. I actually have more questions... but the writing was on point and this issue is so quotable.

When I heard of Captain Atom showing up, I had predicted the government wanted to wipe Gotham off the map or maybe that Psycho Pirate controlled him and Bane was using him as a deterrent. I totally forgot somehow Gotham Girl is already a deterrent... This was pretty great. I am in love with this idea of Gotham being run by villains and it continues to deliver.

Well, I didn't expect that... one of my favourite characters :[ City of Bane raises the stakes a lot with each issue.

It was great seeing the Batfam all togerher and sharing their experiences with Alfred. Ric was surprisingly handled well, he stuck out like a sore thumb, but the story made good use of a shitty editorial decision.

This reveal was still pretty cool despite being spoiled ahead of time.

Love this. Strangely I think this might be the best use of the Dark Multiverse since Metal, and I love Batman and Superman teaming up. Best pair in comics.

The art isn't worse, it is just different. I love Nick Derington, he is like a modern Darwyn Cooke with strong classic vibes. I also love the chemistry between Batman, Supes, and Ra's in this issue. Williamson is doing a fine job with this one.

This is the best of the 3, I am convinced now. It is great to see Eastman's art.

My only problem with this is that it follows a lot of similar plot beats to the first White Knight, but I can't help but feel it is a better executed version of the same plot beats.

Some of the writing was questionable, but can't say I didn't come out loving this and how far it goes.

This was really good. Not a lot of what was said is new, but even as a Tom King Batman fan, I have to admit it is just good having a traditional Batman story like this.

These were all solid stories, but I especially loved Dan Watters'.

Batman and Green Arrow is a team up I didn't know I wanted and a Batman space adventure? Man, this is the best thing DC has gotten from the Bendis contract. Nick Derington is great as always, maybe a bit rushed looking in comparison to the last batch of issues.

Wow. Just wow. What a fantastic conclusion to this story, I thought it would be difficult to end on a high note but this has become a classic Batman Elseworlds story. Highly recommended.

Cool homage to golden, silver, and bronze age comics. From what I can gather it appears to be heroes dealing with a post-reboot of their universe.

Dan Watters is underrated.

I love it. As someone who deals with sleep paralysis hallucinations and people looking at me like I am crazy when I explain them, I also kind of relate.

Idk what to say... if the purpose of this book is to get me excited about all 3 of these books, well 2 succeeded and one was just a great short story. I had a discussion with a friend about Bendis' Superman story and her problem with the issue was that it doesn't explain anything, and I definitely agree with her, however Bendis gives a lot of details in interviews and I was able to piece it all together save for what happened with Lois Lane. Personally, I think Bendis did a pretty acceptable job. Tom King's story was short and sweet, and No Justice Prelude had some incredible art and visuals and did a good job introducing the teams. I hope the event itself won't be too cluttered. Totally worth the 25 cents.

You can tell Tom Taylor really loves the DC Universe with books like this and Injustice, and he works best with zero restrictions that mainstream ongoings don't usually allow.

Marvel has like a dozen Deadpools/Harley Quinns, DC has Harley Quinn, they all feel like they try too hard while Doom Patrol makes weird effortless.

Wonderful madness. This was a bit less great than the previous series, but this series had so many complications. Aside from the lesser art and the smaller scale, I think it is a success. It is a miracle we even got a second one. Sacrifices had to be made for the return of MCR.

I love this character's nihilism, and I also like that I can't discern which is real or fantasy and the 4th wall breaking of Milk Wars.

Dan Slott's insecurities about The Terrifics aside; this was a very enjoyable read, with lots of heart and character.

This was a surprise. I love whenever there is a new GL to follow and having one so isolated on their own in the middle of the farthest sector is a cool idea. I expected to not like Jo, but I was pleasantly surprised. She isn't obnoxiously full of herself, but almost cynical about her alien and inhuman surroundings. The art is fantastic and the colour options are very unique. For a Green Lantern book... it sure has a lot of teal.

It's starting to give me some Blade Runner vibes. GL meets Blade Runner? Yes please.

There are some flaws and inconsistencies, but the story is really good and man... that art is out of this world. Especially love the teal approach to the colouring.

Very solid. I feel like The Flash has been picking up again lately and I actually feel excited to read it again. Will love to see *spoilerspoilerspoiler* in the next issue, it has been too long.

Everything with Wally West hits me right in the feels. Flash V2 was *my* Flash run.

Not sure if this will end up being the definitive origin of the Flash, but I sure am enjoying it.

I remember this artist from Hal Jordan & the GL Corps, they are welcome as the main Flash artist is good but gets a bit old. The story is off to a cool start.

Loved the series. Never been that interested in Earth X, but this was a darker than expected treat.

Unique layouts and fantastic art really make Earth X seem like a terrifying place. Overman and the War Wheel especially.

The art is amazing and the Plasstic Men are terrifying.

Grant Morrison is really good at pandering to my GL Silver Age nostalgia, but even that aside the book is just good. Controller Mu is actually a pretty intimidating villain, I dig it.

I thought this was the best issue of Season 2 so far. The Jack Kirby inspired look was kind of random, I mean until the bird people showed up.

Stuck the landing. One of the best Harley stories to date.

This was a really good issue. Sam Humphries is turning this around for me.

Does anyone else get the sense this arc (with the origin at the start) feels like a movie pitch? It even technically has an end-credits scene. I loved it, even if I was expecting the deathbringers to be end-run material.

Incredible. I haven't heard this origin before, so I assume this was a reinvention of how he becomes reincarnated and why and I think it is a pretty interesting way.

I wish this book was all short story nightmares, you know like House of Mystery and Secret anthologies, the imagery in this one was very unsettling.

Running out of things to say about this book really, it is just really good. I am far too lazy to care about the Krakoan alphabet though.

The only thing harming the book at this point are the info dumps and how often it comes out. It makes it a bit tough to convince myself to read it, but by the time I do read it I am either satisfied or blown away.

In DC's mad dash to put Tim Seeley somewhere they expect him to do the least damage, (RIP my Green Lanterns) they actually found something for him that works... and *really well*. Good job, Seeley. Now please make Imaginary Friends your full-time job and drop poor Green Lanterns.

This issue felt more like traditional Hulk than anything before it, but it still succeeded in being just as engaging.

That ending...

This is giving me strong Swamp Thing vibes.

Possibly my favourite rendering of Hulk to date, Ewing is killing it with consistency.

The art feels a bit rushed in parts but glad to see this series is back on track.

The real win is the art, it delivers some genuine creepy and realistic visuals. I am also intrigued to find out more about their place of residence.

Great horror and art, I just hope it doesn't get too heavy handed in it's message.

Nothing that new, but executed well and love this team.

This kind of Batman story has been told several times, and Jeff Lemire himself has written a similar story with Moon Knight. Even with that against it, it's still just a pretty solid comic book. It made his Joker series a lot more interesting by expanding it.

Full of action and feels like an adventure. Love it.

This was a really DC Crisis lore heavy issue and to have it in a normal issue of JL is kind of unexpected. Tynion IV does a good job making it all work and the comic felt very meaty. You definitely get your moneys worth.

I loved the old Legion of Doom and their emotional exchange with the younger heroes, especially Grodd and Flash. The art as always is way too good for a biweekly series.

I hope the JSA doesn't interfere with Doomsday Clock, but man Snyder is killing it.

Lex traveling 1 million years into the future to see himself celebrated felt very silver age, it was almost too goofy, but I love it. It is really fun to see Lex back to his evil ways.

Loved seeing Jason Woodrue again.

This was a pretty good breather issue with some character moments.

Luckily none of the characters are feeling homogenized as often happens on these team books, even with the addition of an evil team.

You had me at Animal Man. Btw this art is fantastic.

Is James Tynion IV staying on as co-writer? I expected this to go downhill, but it isn't.

A sequel that improves on it's predecessor in every way, and since the original was already quite solid, that is not a small feat.

This was the best Question appearance since he was first teased to be returning in Batman (although on second glance that is a female Question. The Lois Lane stuff was good too, ofc I suspect a certain crowd will be upset.

I am giving out so many high scores this week, but everything is so good.

This is a very tough book to review, since it is basically Looney Tunes shorts in comic format. If you love Looney Tunes, you will enjoy these stories since they nail the art of Chuck Jones and the writing of the classic Warner Bros. cartoons. There are 3 "shorts" in this book. The first is Down for the Count which is your typical Ralph and Sam slapstick, I loved that they showed Wile E. Coyote and Ralph in the same panel, not sure if the cartoon ever addressed they were separate characters. The second stars Daffy and Foghorn. In this short Daffy is holding a play of Macbeth and Foghorn warns him that saying Macbeth on stage causes bad things to happen. The third and longest story involves Sylvester and Tweety, Granny asks Sylvester to stay home and answer the door for her new pet arrival and the pet who shows up isn't who he expects.
