There is something of a yin and yang to the latest Doctor Star comic. A good and bad balance, reflecting the sorrow and guilt he is wracked with, yet also reflecting a bright spark of hope and wonder too. This was a good issue, but I felt that the first two installments were much more poignant. That said this issue had a great bar scene where the old wartime heroes meet up to drink away the day in, and there is a bit of preparation necessary to tee the story up for the fourth installment with the debut of the Star Sheriff Squadron. A fun issue then, with a little bit of reconfiguring going on to lead us in smoothly to the next installment. Read Full Review

This series remains pretty fun and interesting, despite some heaviness in the character of Doctor Star and his family's sense of his betrayal. I liked the part where The Green Lan--sorry, Star Sheriff Squadron shows up and it is revealed how Star has shaped their entire society. I think this is only 4 issues (?) but I look forward to seeing how Lemire wraps this up.
