Welcome, dear Deadpool lovers. It's getting time to almost reach the end of this little multi-part murder spree. There's been a lot of laughs, a lot of deaths, and a whole lotta Deadpool. The setting play felt dizzy, yet definite. It was mostly monochromatic until big movements that caused for big color display, then right back to chromaticism. In previous issues, though monochromes was used in most dark scenes, there was this guilt in the atmosphere I already felt before I reached the fifth page. This comic, made me excited to feel guilt, and that's scary. I'm literally sad there's only one more issue left. Read Full Review

Mark Bagley did a great job with the art. Big fan of the detail in Deadpool's fight scenes. I also think he and the color artists, Edgar Delgado and Dono Sanchez-Almara, did an exceptional job with Threnody's major moments in the fight with the Assassins Guild's henchmen. Read Full Review

Deadpool racks up a huge body count as he pushes his "retirement" adventure toward its end. This issue spoils my theory that the point of the series is to import 90s characters into Deadpool's current orbit - I'm no longer sure anybody except Wade is going to survive. And I'm really at a loss to identify another point. Although Deadpool claims to be a stylish and effective killer, the rest of this issue contradicts his claim. There's very little memorable about the violence, and the issue's Big Death is DIRECTLY attributable to poor planning (i.e. stupidity) on Wade's part.
