Jan 24, 2018Uncannily, Dan Jurgens continues to surprise and entertain with new angles. The Rebirth era run on this title commenced with some really interesting situations. It became almost pedestrian with the merging of the two Superman's and Lois's histories. With this story line, the title has achieved a new high watermark as the Super-family shines brightly as individual. Time Travel is always a win and Superman and Booster Gold make for an interesting pairing. Oh, and Earth's war with Krypton? What're you talking about Skeets? Read Full Review

Jan 28, 2018All-in-all, Action Comics #996 is an entertaining read. The slowing of the Superman/Booster Gold plot is made up for somewhat by Lois Lanes story. Conrad and Nuness art does look good, even if it is a jarring change. The overall plot is starting to outstay its welcome though, and it will hopefully come to a conclusion soon. That being said, I do still recommend this comic, even if it isnt a must-read. Feel free to give it a read if youre so inclined though. Read Full Review

Jan 30, 2018Superman and Booster Gold make an interesting team as the Last Son of Krypton is in no mood for future boy's sarcastic wit and antics. He's on a serious mission to find answers about his home world and the villains that survived it's destruction. The friction is there even as the two strive to work together. Lois successfully lands in Longamba and meets up with resistance leaders that are ready and willing to assist her. Jan 27, 2018Action Comics #996 is really stretching the time travel storyline to the limit, but I'm really enjoying the dynamics between team Superman and Booster Gold, their pairing really is a fun read! It's also pretty interesting to see Lor-Zod again regarding his and Superman's history, it'll be intriguing to see how this story plays out between the two of them. I start this reading with some fear. I'm not a Zod story-arcs' fan. And for now Booster Shot story-arc was not really strong as Superman one. Good as Booster one, but we aren't in a Booster ongoing are we ... The story once more do a coming & going between Lois/Jon & Superman/Booster Story. Lois & clark both narrator to the part of what they experience. Even if I didn't care for Lois Father, the story got better. For one Lois prove another time the competent woman she is. Courageous, brave and with connection. That make stronger her journalist carrer. And it's nice to see jon ready to do backup without his mother knowing it. For superman, I liked to see him tear by the fact he can change was is the present he live. A future for him & Boo more

Decent story, great art! I get why they are giving Lois something to do and the idea of Jonathan looking over her shoulder as her guardian is cool, I think it derails the momentum of the Superman/Booster Gold story arc.

It kind of lost my attention a few times. Not really feeling this arc as much as I feel like I should. I preferred the previous issue.

Better than the last issue, but mainly for the art, which was pretty to look at. The story is still decent, but I am getting rather bored of whatever Lois Lane is doing.
