Mar 20, 2019Naomi feels like a special comic, although it's sadly still too soon to say for certain. The book is excellently written and illustrated, and even the pacing is very consistent, albeit frustratingly slow at times. Read Full Review

Mar 25, 2019Naomi #3 quietly moves its mystery forward with a healthy dose of deep emotional beats, pulling the reader in and leaving them immediately wanting more. This book won't be for everyone - it's quiet yet strong in a way few comics are. Highly, highly recommended. Read Full Review

Mar 20, 2019Naomi is a different kind of superhero comic " one where the answers aren't readily accessible or predictable. In some ways it fits within the detective genre more neatly than is does the superhero category. But something tells me the balance between detective fiction and superhero tale will come into equilibrium as the story progresses. Either way " readers will have the best "seat" in the house as we follow the twists and turns of Naomi's extra-ordinary story. Read Full Review

Mar 26, 2019Continuing to tease us about Naomi's past by offering just as many nuggets as false assumptions (such as Dee and his lost love possibly being her parents), writer Brian Michael Bendis delivers just enough truth and foreshadowing of larger events to keep the reader, like Naomi, focused on learning the truth (and guessing what may come next). Worth a look. Read Full Review

Mar 20, 2019Jamal Campbell is a the star here, and the art is worth more than the price of admission. He's going to have a hell of a future in comics. It's amazing. Hopefully they can get the story on track. It just feels like they may have gone off the rails a bit here, more than was necessary. Read Full Review

Mar 20, 2019By the end of this issue I was left blown away by how different things turned out from what I expected from this series. The way they built up the hype towards this book, you initially would have expected that there was going to be a lot more focus put into detective work and further snooping around the town. It was hard to argue with the drastic change in direction considering what we were treated to through the events of Naomi #3. Read Full Review

Mar 28, 2019I'm in and you should be too! It's early! Pick up #1, #2 and #3 now. Issue #3 is going to be underestimated as that is the turning point as you get light shed on her adoptive parents. You thought Bendis was going to swerve around the curves, but he literally takes us down a new road! Pick up #3! You will not be sorry! Read Full Review

Mar 20, 2019Naomi continues to be an interesting series. I like this mystery surrounding this new character and some of the teases and questions that are brought up in Naomi #3. I guess the big thing is do I care? My interest in or caring for the character started to wane a little bit on this issue. I am still on board, but if issue #4 doesn't pick up the story a little bit I might be jumping off. Read Full Review

Mar 18, 2019I'm always willing to give these creators the benefit of the doubt and be proven wrong, and since Bendis has been on the DC payroll, he has had my emotions on a roller coaster. This may just be the low point of the first arc, and it may be mind blowing next issue. But I believe my feelings will stay the same until we find out for sure the truth behind Naomi's adoption and why that specific date was so important to Port Oswego. Read Full Review
