This was a fun and fulfilling issue. I very much enjoyed the amplified sass that is pregnant Harley. I also am in absolute love with this new GCPD knowing Bruce is Batman. I know it's not canon so I won't see much more of it. However, I can't say "IT'S ABOUT TIME!" enough. Read Full Review

Overall, Curse of the White Knight takes a break from the faster pacing of issues one and two, to dig into the mystery at hand, and really examine how all the different pieces fit into this puzzle from past to present.  Sean Murphy again does both scripting and art duties, showing equal care in crafting a tale that remains visually interesting, and intriguing to fans of the Worlds Greatest Detective.  The series as a whole continues to be a nice break from a typical Batman story, that may miss the mark at times with a few of the 'chances' it takes, yet still manages to find a good combination of familiarity with originality by the end. Every character was on point and this series has not failed to really bring it. The dialogue with Batman and Harley was fantastic! There is plenty of intrigue on what the Joker's plan is and the ending was quite a surprise. Can't wait till the next.

Prelude: I freaking loved the previous issue of Curse of the White Knight. Can Murphy live up to that hype in this issue though? The Good: I am loving this series. I can't just say everything when I'm talking about the good can I? Any scene with Harley in it is amazing. The standout being the interrogation scene. I love the historic flavour that this series brings with it. Speaking of, Murphy's art was amazing this issue. Top notch stuff. Azrael is freaking wicked right now. I've got a soft spot for him and man, he has been killing it. Ha. The Bad: There is not a single panel that I don't love. Conclusion: I thought Batman: White Knight was good but too much of a tall task for Sean Murphy to overcome when making the sequel. However, Batman: Curse of the White Knight has proven me wrong at every point. Even though I don't buy in hardcover (I prefer paperback), I will have to make an exception when this becomes a trade. more

I'm just stunned how Sean Murphy managed to effortlessly put Tom King to shame, showing him how to kill a major character, make it dramatic, meaningful and, of course, heartbreaking. The issue is fantastic front to back, and it really made me walk around the house, contemplating what just happened. There's so much to unpack, so much character development, and lovely, lovely nods and easter eggs, like Harley's dress. I adore White Knight, and I was really worried when Curse was first announced, thinking it may have been a one hit wonder. But nope, Murphy continues his mavelous work, and man, I feel like a fanboy right now, not even being able to say anything bad about this comic. It's tense, it's dramatic, it's intelligent, surprising and entertaining as hell. If I had to pick one thing I liked the most about it, I would probably go with dialogues - each character is faithful to their general concept, but also mature, complex. Joker is half terrifying and half fun, Harley is lovable and extravertic, Bullock is a bit of a rough dick, but also a good, principled cop, and Batman himself grew a lot since White Knight, now being more open, trusting his allies and revealing his identity to them. With the ever-disappointing King series, and rather underwhelming Detective Comics as of recently, that's the Batman comic you want to pick up. Murphy just performed a fatality on King, I swear. more

Oh yes, absolutely. Each time I read what his Joker says, I have Mark Hamill's voice narrating in my head. That's always my instinctual way to determine whether or not someone wrote his dialogues well.

THE GOOD: -Great issue. -Sean Gordon Murphy is one of the most talented artists working today. He's up there with Andrea Sorrentino, Stephanie Hans and Greg Capullo. Everything about his work shows an artist pouring all their effort into every panel. -It's just fun. I have a great time reading this, and it never feels like it's trying to be anything other than fun, which is rare in modern comics. -This Wayne history stuff is surprisingly interesting. -Sean Gordon Murphy's Joker is one of the best portrayals of the character I've seen in a long, long time. It's also clear Murphy has really found his groove with writing more with this sequel than the first series. -That ending was great. Wonderfully executed. THE BAD : -I don't find Harley particularly interesting. It seems to be going down a very traditional "pregnant character" storyline thus far. more

Some of the worst jokes I have ever read in a comic book were found right in this issue. Everyone is just casually goofing off in the midst of a crisis lol.
