Damage #4 throws these two into their next big encounter. It's good to see that not everything they have to deal with is because of Colonel Jonas or a lack of control over Damage. This is a unique experience which this creative team is taking full advantage of through the challenges of being a monster in the DC Universe. Read Full Review

DAMAGE #4 is a solid issue. There are some concerns when compared to the previous installments; however, it's still a fun read all around. Read Full Review

Damage #4 was a fun issue that really took Damage from a monster capable of contending with Wonder Woman and made him more personal. Ethan's world has become quite small and personal, narrowed down to a few friendly folks in the back of a truck. Read Full Review

Good art, decent writing, but that's not enough if the title gives us zero reasons to care about its lead character, who remains a blank slate. Read Full Review

Creators and storytellers Cary Nord and Robert Venditti, after displaying Damage's strengths in the last issue, are now perhaps giving us the opposite. Unfortunately, we will not see how this battle between Damage and Ivy willl play out until Damage #5. Although, I am glad to say this wild chase still has me running along trying to keep up. So, I am both curious and excited to see where this arc continues for us fans who have been waiting for a true DC "Hulk." Read Full Review

    Weird Science - Branden Murray

Damage #4 is a step backward in a series I was enjoying up until this point a whole lot.  Losing Tony Daniels on art duties is a huge blow to this title and the replacements just don't bring Damage to life or make him very menacing at all. This issue is also light on the story too and tries to compensate by giving you more to read about Ivy's current state in the DC Universe. I'd rather see storytelling efforts be more focused on Damage confronting Jonas for her misdeeds, or even the cliffhanger from the last issue, instead of this flavor of the month villain road trip, this is turning into. It's not high art or written exceptionally well, but if you want to see DC's version of the Hulk get a sentient vine shoved down his throat, then you could do a lot worse. Read Full Review

This issue was boring and disappointing. The art simply isn't up to snuff, and that itself reveals the staleness of the story. The art itself isn't bad but plotting is just so generic and awful that I simply can't condone anyone reading this series. Read Full Review

This fourth issue in the seriesfeels like it should be part of issue #1. The development of the backstory and the characters hunting Damage feel like they were developed in fits. Some parts feel very detailed, and others just rushed. This series will grow stronger when the balance is applied to both. Gorgeous art provides beautiful scenery. Read Full Review
